True Story Having a Jewish Father
We have all heard about what Jewish Mothers are like. And most of it is correct. But in these times I thought I would share this TRUE story with someone out there who might need it.
When I was about 6 years old the family went to Woolworth once a week without missing it rain or shine. I would run up and down the store seeing what I could spend my money on before they close. My twin sister and I got our little allowance to spend. I saw a glass piggy bank that I really liked. I told my Dad that I needed it to save money. Thinking he would like me to do so because money had always burned a hole in my pocket. My Dad looked at the bank and said, So you want to save money? Not that the item was a pig but he went straight to my sales pitch. Oh, Yes that is what I want it for! He told me to hold off on it because I didn't have enough money to buy it and would need my Dad to pay for most of it. Thinking that the next week I would have it for sure. When we got home he went and clean out a jar and put a hole for the money. He said, HERE. I asked him what is this? it is a bank for you to save money. Then my father said, YOU DON'T spend money to make money. Nothing is on sale if you can't afford it and this last one was making money work for you. My Father went on to say, when you get enough money then we will go to the bank and you can put it where it will earn you money. I just wanted the cute piggy. I got instead a lesson that has stayed with me to this day! Just a thought.

Then Moses took some of the anointing oil and of the blood that was on the altar and sprinkled it on Aaron and his garments, and also on his sons and his sons' garments. So he consecrated Aaron and his garments, and his sons and his sons' garments with him.
Leviticus 8:30

Those beautiful, new priestly garments were permanently stained with blood and oil as soon as the first priests assumed their office. In part, this tells the priests they shouldn't be afraid to get dirty when necessary in the course of their work. It also tells us that the beauty of the garments wasn't their primary purpose. They were functional as well as costly.

OK, so I have found a platform that I am interested to use for the new Marketplace features. Would anyone volunteer to have a look at the company's demo web site and give me your feedback to ensure that all the necessary features are there?

With all the online miscommunication and the text telling us to take our thoughts captive, didn’t know if anyone had done much study into human thought patterns and ways of relating. With everything be tested didn’t know if this would help someone.

Q1: Aaron wasn't qualified to touch the offerings until he had been consecrated. Why could Moses?
Q2: Moses temporarily took the role of priest in the ordination of Aaron and his sons. How was this possible?

A: In the wilderness Moses acted as both king and priest to the people. Like Melchizedek and #yeshua. Unlike Aaron, Moses had spent months being purified by the Divine Presence. He was consecrated by God's Fire, God's Grace, and his own continual obedience. He wasn't allowed to be a priest in the Tabernacle, but he could be a consecrator of priests.

Leviticus 8:27-29

Thanks for sharing your studies with us, Jay! This kind of food for thought gives me something to go chew on later.
