Are there any Sabbath keepers here that keep the Sabbath from Friday 6pm to Saturday 6pm?

Hi Mark. We keep it as sundown to sundown. Love our Erev Shabbat! Such a beautiful time. Blessings!

We strictly speaking keep it from sunset to sunset, BUT...

With me working and sunset being so early in the UK during winter, I then aim to have everyone settled by 6pm as I only get home around 5pm. We then keep Shabbat for 24 hours.

So that said, we thereby indirectly keep it from 6pm to 6pm, but not on a Jewish or Scriptural basis, but due to work pressures and only when the sunset is earlier than 6pm.

We are living in Babylon, so I try to keep Father's laws as close as I can and ask His forgiveness where I am not able to due to the wordly system.

Just to make it clear, this and the consumption of certain E-numbers are the only laws that I am still "working on" due to circumstances...

I live in Canada where the sun can set as early as 4 pm in the winter time and as late as 10 pm in the summer time. I don't know of any groups that do this, but I have personally decided to keep Shabbat from Friday 6pm to Saturday 6pm.

Scriptures says to keep Sabbath from sunset to sunset. But you have to take into account that the sun sets differently in various parts of the world; especially in the northern parts of the world. It is not like in Israel where the sun sets at almost the same time throughout the year.

This method is definitely followed by those who live at or near the Arctic region where there is 6 months of darkness followed by 6 months of daylight.

I know that I can't point to a Bible verse that says to keep Shabbat at 6pm, but I do think that doing so meets the spirit of the commandment since 6pm is the approximate sunset times in the land of Israel.

Interesting: randomly found this in a journal of mine from 2014, yet it was similar to a thought that came to me few days before I stumbled across it:

"An attack on marrying multiple wives is an attack on marriage just as an attack on having multiple children is an attack on having children."

What I thought of before I found the note was of referring to the Roman laws that were made against multiple wives as "anti-marriage", "marriage restriction", and such like.

One thing that I find important to remember, is that our examples of multiple wives (the first two at least) were not the man's choice, they went along with their wife/wives. Jacob was not wanting to marry Leah, but was tricked. I do not believe Yah set out with the plan for men to have multiple wives, but also didn't say it was sin. There was anneed for Jacob to have so many sons due to he wealth and amount of flocks to take care of. Nowadays, I do not see the point in men having multiple wives other than greed. As Nikilas said, those men dealt with many hardships due to having multiple wives. Solomon was even taken away from Torah/Yah due to his wives. It's not something to take lightly, but that's just me. Everyone is entitled to what they see/view.

How do you see this angle, if Leah is the grandmother of the Mashiach, the Cohanim and Leviim, then Leah was the real wife of Yaakov because all these were sanctioned from above especially where the Mashiach is involved, Yah knew the outcome from the onset. ?
