And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
Matthew 18:34 KJV

"Tormentor" in this verse is an officer of the court. Being "delivered to the tormentor" means being put into the custody of that officer. Other translations render it as "jailor". This is essentially the same meaning as being placed "under the law". When you read that phrase in Paul's letters, he is almost talking about this concept: being placed under the authority of the law to punish, not being obligated to obey the law.

DO YOU DO CHRISTMAS AND WHY?
My thoughts:
Even Moses said, with a willing heart. Whatever we do and not do, it must come from a willing heart. But, I am here to say, I don't celebrate Christmas, or Ramadan, or Kwanzaa. There are lots of holidays all over the WORLD that I don't celebrate. Both Christmas and Hanukkah are in the Bible. Christmas's celebrated in Isaiah 44:13-19 and Jeremiah 10: 1~6 10 Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:
2 Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

6 Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O Lord; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.

14 He heweth him down cedars and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.

And Hanukkah the feast of dedication is in John 10 22

So Hanukkah is found in the New Testament and Christmas celebrated in the Old Testament and what the word tells us about the both of them, THE CHOICE is still yours. What did Jesus The Christ celebrate and which one did Jesus NEVER do? Just a thought.
This is a site to have our thoughts and exchange, but it still comes down to YOUR CHOICE. Even the gospel is a FREE CHOICE. Just a thought.

"Seventy times seven" in Matthew 18:22 isn't a literal limit to forgiveness. The specific numbers are irrelevant. The point is that we shouldn't keep track of offenses. 10,000 talents in v24 was meant to convey the sense of an unpayable debt, a debtor without hope. The debt we owe God is unpayable, beyond human comprehension, yet He forgives those who plead His mercy. There is nothing anyone can owe you that remotely compares to what God has forgiven you. If we're unwilling to forgive our brother a pittance, why should God forgive us a fortune?
See Matthew 18:22-35.
