Then Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew, and he ate and drank and rose and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.
Genesis 25:34
Lentil stew is a traditional mourning dish. Was Jacob mourning the death of Abraham? The bread and lentil stew or "red stuff" reminds me of another meal with bread and red stuff: Passover and Yeshua's last supper.

I am working on the #Vayeshev expanded #ChiasticStructure today. Notice how many times the Scripture puts Neon Flashing Lights around the statement that Joseph was cast into a pit, when his brothers cast him into a pit: three that the Structure highlights. Three is a sign of Messiah in Torah. #Torah is showing us that just as Joseph was cast into a pit, which is a prophetic metaphor for death, Yeshua was "cast into a pit," or slain, not due to His own sin, but due to the sin of others against Him. #moseswroteaboutmessiah
