Removal of leaven...
Ashlyn and I were thinking on what we have to do to prepare for Passover. The thing that made us wonder is how far do we go with cleaning out the house of leaven.
We have looked into baking powder and baking soda and are personally convinced that it is not a yeast product. Our test is that Scripture says that a little leaven, leavens the whole lump. Baking powder definitely does not meet this test.
1. But does the prohibition against leavening include things that could be used to make leaven? For instance; raisins, grapes, grape leaves, potatoes, dust (to a certain extent), etc.
2. What about products that are yeast derivatives like Marmite, protein powder, etc.?
3. Also, is the instruction to remove products that have been prepared with leaven or not to eat it during the feast period? So, we should remove leaven, but not eat leavened products.
What is your understanding on this?

The right time for #passover is always after the first ripe barley, or else the #firstfruits commands don't make sense. It doesn't necessarily have to be immediately after the first ripe barley--there's no reason it can't be a full month or more later--but it can't be earlier, unless there's a mini ice age or something going on. The Hebrew calendar adds a month approximately every three years to keep it in sync with the solar year and barley harvest.
In this manner you shall eat it: with your belt fastened, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is YHWH's Passover.
Exodus 12:11
All of God's appointed times are memorials of things past and rehearsals of things to come. Eat the #passover with your hiking boots on your feet and your bug-out bag in your hand, ready to go.
