The total destruction of idols is counted among the blessings of obedience to God's Law. Idols are not to be kept for their historical value or any other reason. Burn them, grind them to dust, and scatter the remains or God may do so to you instead. Verse 26 presages the fate of Achan after Jericho. Idolatry among the righteous is a magnet for trouble. It isn't a victimless crime. #ekev

The destruction of heaven is evident in a few places in the Bible, here are a couple. Isaiah 65:17, “Look, I will make new heavens and a new earth. And people will not remember the past. They will not think about those things.” Revelation 21:1, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.”
