Shalom aleichem! Silver Trumpet Ministries will once again be gathering this coming Shabbat (saturday) at the residence of Hein & Gerda Zentgraf in Henley on Klip from 09:30. This week we will study parashat b’chuqotai (by My regulations), from the third book, Leviticus, which will also bring this book to an end. Please note that the study is mainly in Afrikaans, but we are also fully conversant in the English vernacular. Prepare from Torah: Vayiqra (Leviticus) 26:3 to 27:28, Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 16:19 to 17:14 and Ephesians 2:11-19; you are welcome to bring your questions to the table for discussion.

For people outside the Vaal Triangle, we offer a remote gathering via the Jitsi platform, a free application that works on computers and smartphones. We send the link out at 09:30 via our Telegram group, YAH's Festivals, or on request. Coffee and tea will be supplied and every family is welcome to contribute something light to eat. We request, however, that special diets, such as gluten intolerance and diabetes are kept in mind. Please contact us on Telegram 0837745609 or Whatsapp 0846743400. To the esteem of YAH!

I came to Messiah in 1973 at age 16. I believe what they were teaching at the church I attend. My dad sent me to a Sabbath keeping private school. It was owned by the church that he was a pastor in. As I listened to the preaching I believed they were right about the commandments and keeping Sabbath. I was soon baptized and began understanding that Torah was not abolished. Not everyone's eyes are open as scripture points out. The father chooses people and opens their eyes. There is a difference between the sheep and the goats. We see that Elohim chose the meekest man that ever lived to guide those people out of Egypt. This reveals a lot about the people he chooses. I have seen so many goats rise up in the church and they scatter the sheep. Please pray for the body of Messiah the more people would understand the ways of Elohim and have a spiritual mindset. I have seen too much carnality that it saddens me. I've seen men as pastors that shouldn't be pastors. They take on the preeminence which is condemned in Scripture. Only Messiah has the preeminence. Please pray that more eyes would be open to the truth and people would humble themselves.

It can be tough when your dad is also your Pastor. I came to Torah in 2016, but in 2015 had to question my dad on everything he taught me. It was a difficult time as he was starting to show signs of Dementia so we couldn't have long deep discussions about why he taught what he did.

I only know that it was due to years of "guidance" through seminary and then other teachers in his life. We did however agree that he should have looked deeper by himself when he still had the strength. Unfortunately he passed away 10 months later so we could never get to a conclusion, BUT he supported me in my investigation. Which is more than what most parents give their children when they go "the other way" in life.

Yes, we should be praying more for others; both already learning the Way and those whom Father is still too guide to the Way.

At the same time we also have to be on the watch for false teachers as there are many and their voices are the loudest...

Priestly nation…

In Ex. 19:6 Father says that we are to be a #kingdom of #priests for Him. This makes my mind spin as it could have far reaching consequences if we follow the church belief that we now have the authority of a priest and have to step into that role. This is not a part time role as priests have very strict laws to keep to at all times and we can't then pick and choose which laws to keep according to our society...

It therefore doesn’t make sense to me as Yeshua is our High Priest and from Ex. 20 Father gives the #commandments and #statutes making a division between the Priests, Levites and the rest of the nation. If everyone are priests then it would mean that we have to keep all the laws for Priests as well; which I don’t even see Yeshua doing when He was here on earth.

#torah is there to keep us holy, set apart.

So, are we priests in the official role or are we a nation that have Priests for Father making us a “kingdom of priests” as v6 says?

Thought for Today: Thursday May 30

When love brings comfort -- it is by YHVH's compassion
When love brings peace -- it is by YHVH's grace
When love brings joy -- it is by YHVH's presence!

My wife and I were discussing how bad people drive these days and why so many accidents. As I thought on it for a while, later I told her that I think it's because that the love of money has grown cold. People just don't care anymore and there is so much more lawlessness in the world today. It's so sad. I have just bought a brand new car 2 months ago and some one ran the stop sign and hit my front passenger wheel so much that it bent out of proportion. They damaged the whole side of the vehicle also. I had it towed about 90 milrs back to town and dropped it off at the collision shop. My wife goes to a Bible study on Wednesdays and a couple of our friends there at an accident where a big truck made up the whole side of their vehicle and almost ran them off the road. We were talking about how the devil doesn't bother those that are serving him, but he sure attacks the people of Elohim. I told my wife that possibly he's just helping me increase in faith and trust him more. I was thinking about Job in the Bible and how he said, though Elohim slay me yet will I trust him. My friend told my wife that were the tire damage like mine they might total the vehicle. I told her that if they do I'm sure it will be a blessing. We always have to trust our Father in heaven no matter what happens. I drive for a living and I need my car so it was good that when I bought the new car I didn't trade the other one. So I still have another car to use. Elohim is good.

My question always is "is this Satan attacking me or Father testing me" and I don't always get an understanding. All that I can therefore do is to trust that Father has me in His sight and will work things out.

I pray that Father will provide for you and open the doors that have to be open and shut those that has to be shut. May you easily distinguish the difference. ?

Recommend this podcast to all of your Christian friends who love God but aren't ready for a bunch of heavy theology. Carlos' approach is simple and honest. Good for the soul.
