Have you ever been misled by someone who quotes a Bible verse trying to prove their point of view is correct? This is not an uncommon practice in the world today. Some who promote a vegetarian lifestyle quote genesis 1:29 but we need to remember that this was before Adam sinned and the earth was cursed. Not every plant today can be considered food. I have heard Genesis 9:3, “ Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things” used to describe how we can eat any animal now as well. We need to remember that this also has some restrictions that Moses would outline later in his writing. These are just two examples of how quoting a verse out of context leads to very poor interpretation.
