Might does not make right. Occupying an office doesn't necessarily give anyone authority to exercise the power of that office, and the people are sometimes right to resist with all possible force and means.
My good friend Tagor gave 5 teachings on the parables at Sukkot this year. These are very scholarly and deep explanations of Yeshua's words. I've embedded those in our weekly newsletter and happily recommend and endorse these teachings.

Genesis 1:2, “Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.” As our Creator speaks and His spirit begins to weave together the universe we live in, this imagery reflects chaos. A formless breath about to take shape through nothing more than a spoken word. If you have ever watched your breath on a cold morning when you can see the cloud leave your body it has no form and there is empty space between the particles allowing you to see through it. This is much like what is described in this verse, but unlike us, our Creator has the ability to form the spirit, the breath that He speaks into whatever He desires.
