Came across this today. This technology is advancing rapidly, protect your identities. Its only a matter of time before you can be depicted doing or saying anything. It doesn't matter whether you did it not, they have it on video...confession and act. They don't have to imprison you only take away your credibility.

Proverbs 10:7 Proverbs 22:1 Ecclesiastes 7:1

Paul's discussion of meat sacrificed to idols in 1 Corinthians 10:23-33 may seem academic, but this is still a real issue for many people today.

Since eating the sacrificial animal is an inherent part of the sacrifice, don't eat it if the circumstances might lead someone to believe you are participating in a pagan religious ritual. If someone is going to be offended by your service to God, let it be by your actual service, not by your presentation of the Gospel, your offensive and confrontational behavior, or your careless actions when you think nobody is watching.

However, behavior that might appear sinful to someone without all of the facts is perfectly acceptable if that someone can't possibly be around to witness it. Any sin isn't in the behavior itself, but in the stumbling block that it might put in the path of another.

Paul wrote that meat sold in the market is ok to eat even if it was sacrificed to demons so long as you have no specific reason to believe it was. 1 Corinthians 10:23-33

What does this have to do with us today in America? Consider the principle… There's nothing sinful in getting paid by a thief for doing honest work or in eating a steak that was cut from a stolen cow if you have no way of knowing that you are benefiting from someone else's sin. However, once you know, then you have some decisions to make.

“All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
1 Corinthians 10:23

"All things are lawful" in this verse is not a blanket statement for all behaviors in all circumstances. Paul was only addressing the specific circumstances of eating meat sacrificed to idols when you are not worshiping the idols. "All things are lawful" should be understood as "All of these things are lawful", which in context means "All otherwise clean meat is lawful even if it was sacrificed to idols".

Even so, it is often good to abstain from many things that are morally acceptable but that might cause other problems, such as by the appearance of sin, which might lead a weaker brother to think the apparent action isn't sinful at all.

Hi guys, I'm sorry that I haven't been on in a long time. It's been busy here: I've started a YouTube channel and I've been working hard on making very wholesome content (especially with Search and Rescue). I also am taking guitar lessons so that I can start making music, and trying to work on vocals. I'm glad to be a part of this community and I promise to stick around more than I have been. I hope you enjoy my content, my link is www.youtube.com/@NoahEargle-ku4ld . Have a blessed day (early Shabbat Shalom)!
