Isaiah 5:20, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who turn darkness to light and light to darkness, who replace bitter with sweet and sweet with bitter.” The attack against our Creator and those who choose His way are increasingly more arrogant and even come from some unexpected sources. Although it may seem the wicked outnumber the righteous, the wicked, no matter how great their number, will never be greater than our Creator.

neither did the flesh of him see decay Greek original language Scripture from Acts 2
"Foreseeing, he spake of the resurrection of the Christ, for not left was the soul of him in hades, neither did the flesh of him see decay."

Thought for Today: Tuesday April 02

Earth has no sorrow which heaven cannot heal. The same with you, you will never have a problem too big or too small that YHVH cannot help you with. All you need is faith.

The poorest of Dan, Yehudah, and Benjamin that were left behind to tend the land of Yehudah. Forced to convert to Islam or Christianity or face being exiled out of the land. The land of Yisra'êl is far bigger then the remnant Babel claims is what Israel is. Britain gave Palestinian land to Europian Jews for compensation for the Europian Jews being massacred by their own people. Britain had/has no right to give someone else's land away. But Britain, France, England, are all from the druids, which are the Babylonians. Still ruling the world today, just like Scripture says. Babel knew it needed to commit genocide of the Hebrews to take their land. Those taking part in the Zionists plans knew from the beginning how brutal they would have to be. In the US that is called, 'Capital Murder in the first degree' which usually gets the death penalty; even in Torah. This second ravaging of the tribes out of their lands is right now. And yet the sky is blue and the weather is warming up. Praise Yahuah we did not get taken away in the winter.

This month brings us to the biblical festival of Passover + Unleavened Bread. As we prepare for this holiday, we clean all the leaven, which symbolically represents sin, out of our houses. What is leaven? Read all about it here.

The Biblical prohibition against leaven during Passover is clear: NO leaven. But what is leaven? And how do we avoid it in cooking and baking? Find the answers to all your questions about preparing your kitchen for Passover, plus a few recipes here.

I like your list of items which "masquerade as leaven" as many people would include them as well.

Thanks for the no-leaven recipes. ?

My only question is around including baking powder into the "leaven" category.

It looks like your list is based on items which "puff your baked goods", but is that what the removal of yeast is about?

I like baking so use yeast and baking powder often. I find that it is very important to use the right amount of the latter or the dough doesn't rise properly when heat is applied as it is a chemical reaction creating the carbondioxide in the dough that puffs it up.

On the other hand, I can use too little yeast and encourage the lump to rise given that there is enough food, time and heat for the yeast to grow and multiply.

Baking powder is a chemical reaction so a little can't "leaven" the whole lump. On the otherhand, yeast is alive and will leaven the entire lump.

The question would be: Do you believe the events of Acts 15 happened like this comic (which is how we are told to understand Acts 15) or do you believe what the text says? Because if you read Acts 15 in context (context being the whole chapter at minimum, the rest of the book before it, the rest of the Bible before it), you can't come to the conclusion that the Gentiles aren't supposed to follow the Law. The commands given to them are from the Law. They are told to listen to Moses (the Law) every Sabbath). To read this and say gentiles aren't supposed to follow the Law doesn't make sense.

Then if you continue on to Acts 21 when Paul visits James, they are talking about how new believers coming to Yeshua are "zealous for the Law" and they are excited about it. Then they tell Paul people are saying he is telling people to forsake the Law, which they know ISN'T true and want Paul to show he does still live by the Law (because if you are living by the Law and teaching others not to do it, you're not actually living by the Law.)

There are no prophecies, no statements, no Scripture that states the Gentiles aren't supposed to keep the Law. Everyone always comes to Acts 15 to show "see, we aren't supposed to do it."

Acts 15 is the instructions to the newbie believer. Someone who has just come to the faith after being in a life of paganism. In church, what is usually the focus for new believers? Isn't it whatever sins they are struggling with? Focus on those things first, then the rest will come later?

It is no different in Acts 15. They aren't deciding what part or if gentiles should follow God's Laws, because all over the OT, if there is one statement that God makes perfectly clear over and over and over again: it is that if you love Him, you will keep His Laws. It has nothing to do with your nationality. It is about loving Him.
