You shall not eat any of their flesh [of unclean animals], and you shall not touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you.
Leviticus 11:8

Rashi believed that this command only applies to the priests, but the plain meaning of the text says otherwise. On the other hand, I think that "don't touch their carcasses" is an emphatic repetition of "don't eat them". In other words, "Don't eat them and don't even think about eating them." It's not a prohibition against burying your pet dog. In any case, it's an easy command to keep. If you need to dispose of the body of an unclean animal, use gloves and a shovel.

Yahuah did not tell Mosheh to strike the rock of Horeb. Yahuah told him to speak to the rock, but Mosheh was angry because the people would rather be in slavery than free. Mosheh ruined being in the land of Yisra'êl by hitting the rock instead of speaking to it. Mosheh was a leader and thus held to a higher standard than everyone else. Aharon was the only one to worship the cow and live. He created it out of fear of being murdered by the people. And now all those tribes are in exile slavery where they wanted to be in the first place. More glad than a pig in poop. The people refused to follow Yahuah even when a leader of a state in Babel tried to force them to keep it. How stiff necked are we going to be now? Worshipping idols and calling on them like they are the creator. 14,000 times does Yahuah say to keep His Torah and respect His Name and yet it is the most disrespected command in all of Scripture! People would rather worship Ba'al Gad instead of Yahuah and when you show evidence while they talk of their commentary, they cry wolf. How dare I pull out all the stops? How dare you stand on the side of sin and call yourself righteous. No one is saved until after they die and as a taught one, you are obligated to show me your belief by your works! Otherwise you're no different to an unbeliever.

In my view, if Aaron was more concerned with keeping his life than with following Father then it doesn't show the loyalty which I believe he had and he wouldn't have been worthy of being saved. So, did he really worship the calf if he was saved?

My thinking is that he truly believed that he was creating an image of Father and the only image he could come up with was the same image that was used in Egypt, a calf. This was the only experience of religion he had to go by as he grew up in Egypt.

The same way, we might be thinking that we are worshipping Father in spirit and in truth, but are only imposing our view of worship on our service. We might be just as sinful has Aaron was in making the calf, but we are forgiven as our knowledge is limited and we don't know any better.

I know that the old Persian religion is still kept alive, but haven't heard of Baal worship being practised in modern times.

If you are referring to naming conventions then:

We are instructed to keep Father's name holy. ✔ So we don't use it repetitively, or obscenely or ascribe an attribute to Him which isn't His or to another which belongs to Father.

Are we however instructed on which titles to use or how to pronounce His name? Nope. There is no Scripture on this and if there is no Scripture then it by its nature is not sin as Father would have addressed it in the laws and statutes.

If I think otherwise then I am saying that Father was either not planning to make different languages and therefore planned for this scenario or not wise enough to keep His Name's pronunciation the same in all languages and across time if He so willed it.

I am sure that if the 7 day cycle could be kept in place over the ages then Father could have built it into all humans to only pronounce His Name in a specific way; if it was His plan.

I read 2 Tim. 2:14 this morning:

"Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarrelling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen."

So, this will be my final response to any posts that illude to there being any sacred pronunciation of names or titles.

I believe Aharon was saved because he was the only priest. He may not have gone to the full extent as the rest, but making an idol is still sin. Intentionally causing others to stumble just because he feared for his life makes him guilty of their sin. Anywhere else in Scripture you were to die instead of submitting to humanity because you’re afraid of death. It would excuse everyone’s actions nowadays if fear was a viable excuse. The priesthood bloodline came from Aharon didn’t it? Aharon wasn’t as strong as Mosheh and therefore probably not held to the same standard as Mosheh. Yahuah’s Torah is the standard now, but just before it was written is when he sinned like that. I also think the peoples’ attitude played a huge role. They never wanted to be free with a few rules to keep you safe. They wanted to be brutally treated instead so that they could eat like pigs. Rebelling the whole time along the way. So everyone who did that rebelling and then the calf; God was a serious slap in the face to Yahuah. Aharon didn’t rebel until the calf. Technicalities saved his life I believe.

How does the seven day cycle, which is sundown to sundown as Scripture says, have anything to do with pronouncing? Very easily keepable. Has nothing to do with pronouncing Yahuah’s Name. Can you say, ‘Yah Who Ah’? Excuses man, and you know it.

I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do.
John 17:4

The heart of every ministry is to glorify the Father. If you end this life only having accomplished one thing, bringing honor and glory to the name of YHWH, then you have done more than most kings and philosophers.

If #israel endures, it isn't because Israel is worthy. It's because God keeps His promises. Humble yourself, repent from sin, and God will return to you.

God wants His people to prosper because that reflects well on Him, but He isn't going to stop being a righteous God just so we can prosper in our sin.
