The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way, but the folly of fools is deceiving.
Proverbs 14:8
True wisdom makes a path clearer. Frequently, all you need is to understand right from wrong according to God's standards, and decisions will make themselves.
The wisdom of man is here called "folly of fools" because it ignores the source of all wisdom. It might sound wise, full of nuance and subtlety, but it will only lead you to death.
...for YHWH Elohim had not caused it to rain on the land... Genesis 2:5
The lack of rain before the creation of Adam doesn't imply no rain after his creation. In fact, since the text says that no plants had sprouted "for YHWH Elohim had not caused it to rain" must mean that it did rain later or else none of the plants in question would ever have sprouted.
The #1 Survival Tip for These Prophetic Days: How to Prepare for War, Famine, Terrorism — You’re going to hear this tip within the first minute of this video. You might say, “well duh, I knew that.” You might say, “nope, not for me.” Please don’t be tempted to shut it off. I’ll make this one super short, but this is one of the most important videos I’ve made.

The most important aspect of preparation is obtaining information in order to know what to prepare for. Gathering information means more than watching a few You Tube videos. Proper preparations requires careful study and nothing you may prepare for is more important than the continuation of life — both on tis earth and on the New Earth. Revelation 21:1, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.” (Isaiah chapters 65 and 66)
Death on the new earth?!?
Isaiah 65:20 caught my attention again this morning. The chapter talks about the new heaven and earth and then verse 20 reads:
"No longer shall there be in it an infant who lives only a few days,
Or an old man who does not finish his days;
For the youth who dies at the age of a hundred,
And the one who does not reach the age of a hundred
Will be thought of as accursed."
This verse does indicate people dying.
But will there be death on the new earth if according to Rev 20:14 "...Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire."?
Or does Rev 20:14 just indicate that the "lake of fire" now becomes the new "death"?
Along those lines comes Rev 22
"1 Then the angel showed me a river of the water of life—bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
2 down the middle of the city’s street. On either side of the river was a tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."
Food will be needed, but also healing. I can only assume that is refers to healing of the body as leaves are small and can't cover a nation...
My upbringing was in the church, so my thinking patterns was always according to what I was taught, but reading these verses side-by-side a different picture arises...
My thinking now is that if our bodies need healing then it must be possible to die as well according to Isaiah 20:14...
Or is my thinking way off track and I need to look at additional verses? If so, do you have other Scripture I can look at on this subject?
A counter argument for Christians eating pork...
My Christian family and friends will argue that the pork "prohibition" was before hygiene was improved with modern abattoirs. We are therefore now allowed to eat pork as it isn't "unclean" any longer.
Reading Isaiah 65 again this morning it just dawned on me that it is a very good reference to use when countering this point of view. The chapter talks about the new heaven and new earth and at the beginning of the chapter about abominations for Father for which He will punish the wicked. In the list of abominations is eating pork.
If eating pork was just a temporary prohibition before abattoirs then I am sure that this would not have been counted as an abomination at this point in time as we are now closer than ever to seeing the new heavens and earth. And yet, Father still counts it as an abomination to Him when talking about the new earth.
