As Passover approaches, it's important to refresh on who the Messiah really is: the Son of God. His voluntary innocent death covers our sins and warranted resurrection by Yahweh. He then ascended to sit at Yahweh's right hand and is the Mediator of the New Covenant! Amen and Hallelujah!

Matthew 15:1-20 is often interpreted to mean that the rules concerning clean and unclean animals are no longer relevant, that we can now eat whatever we want without sin (violation of God's instructions). Yeshua condemned the Pharisees for making up new rules and teaching people to break God's direct commandments, so does it really make sense for him to turn around and immediately make up a new rule of his own and teach people to break God's direct commandments?
