Storytime:
A man forgot to put his phone on silent and it rang so load in the church mid service. The pastor scolded him, the worshippers admonished him after the service for interrupting, his wife kept on lecturing on his carelessness all the way home, his friends and acquaintances shook their heads in disgust. You could see the shame, embarrassment and humiliation on his face. He never stepped foot in a church again after that service. That evening he went to a bar -- still nervous and trembling, he spilled his drink on the table, the bottle fell, broke and it splashed on some of the people around him. They all rushed towards him and he closed his eyes expecting a bashing of words but instead they cared to know if he got a cut from the broken bottle, the waiter apologised and gave him a towel to clean himself, the janitor mopped the floor, the manager offered him a complimentary drink, she also gave him a huge hug and an encouraging word by saying, a man who does not make mistakes is not real. He has not stopped going to that bar instead of church.
Shabbat Shalom everyone
The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.
Proverbs 22:3 ESV
Humility helps keep you from bad decisions, especially sin. Consider the consequences of your own actions and those of others. Be aware of the shifting winds and the patterns of history and be prepared to respond accordingly. The simple live only in the present and are easily manipulated and overrun by events and their own myopic choices.
I am new here, but regularly talk about Kaleb House, Grindstone Ministries, and the Refuge Ruckus on other outlets. Here is a great interview with the event coordinator putting it togeter. If you like the idea of the event but cannot travel to Ft Smith, there is a virtual option. #refugeruckus #kalebhouse #grindstoneministries

We are about 5 months out from the #refugeruckus and I have been slacking on my rucking. Back at it today with a speed walk with just the plate carrier on (about 20 lbs) to see how my feet do. See what the ruckus is about at www.refugeruckus.com
Anyone else feeling terribly sloth-like on this chilly Prep Day morning? Having a real hard time finding my motivation and could use some tips on how you get yourself moving when you're...
A. In pain
B. Long-term exhausted (not the sleepless night tired)
C. Overwhelmed with the state of your home
D. Surrounded by equally unmotivated kids
Praying your Prep Day is more productive than ours, so far! <3
