Cease to hear instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge.
Proverbs 19:27 ESV

Entropy is the natural state of everything, including the human mind and sense of righteousness. We must be constantly reminded and exercised in truth and skill in order to keep it sharp and useful.

Question:
I've been going through and outstanding series on Prayer and Fasting. It shows how fasting was complete, no food and no water. People literally were kept alive by the word of God. [Dev 8:3]

They make the case that, while prayer can be without fasting, fasting should never be without prayer.

My question is...what about communion? There is a verse where it indicates not even a taste of anything should be had. [Yonah 3:7] Yet, communion is part of prayer and drawing close to God.

I can't ask the ones doing the teaching since they believe the Last Supper was a Pesach seder, which I don't agree with. That does not fit the time line.

So, what do you all think? Obviously, communion is not a meal. However, it would be a taste.

Is it OK to have communion during a time of fasting? Or does it make the fast incomplete, possibly nullifying it?

I do agree with that communion would be classified as "taste". It does however depend on what your vow/aim is with the way of fasting.

If you make it out in your heart to be a complete fast then that is what you should keep.

It's the same as making a Nazarene vow and then deciding midway through to cut your brow as it is annoying you. The vow was for a specific purpose and has specific rules.

Also, if we look at Ananias and Sapphira, the money from the sale of their house was theirs to do with what they wanted to, but they tried to deceive others and was struck down for that.

By keeping a fast, it is within your power to decide how you want to keep it. Just don't deceive others or yourself by saying that you are doing it one way and then doing it a different way just to look better in their eyes.

Yahshua’s Existence/Prophecies!

HalleluYah! Praise to Yah for your lives! Yahuah is the Creator of the heavens and the earth(Genesis 1:1 In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth) and Yah gave His only brought-forth(begotten) Son, Yahshua ‘Yah is Salvation’ Messiah…

Women’s Portion for Today: Sunday March 31

There are so many turmoil in families these days and they do not realise that the lost opportunities they will regret most, are the opportunities they had of loving each other. Teach your children how important the family bond is. (Prayer: Father, thank You for sending Yeshua Moshiach to demonstrate Your Love and Grace for us. Let His Perfect Love saturate, purify and strengthen my children, amein.)

A most confusing tradition happens on Easter Sunday. Millions of Christian families will wake up for a sunrise worship service but that isn’t the confusing aspect of this day. Families both Christian and secular will “surprise” their children with baskets filled with candy that was delivered by an egg laying rabbit that happens to be one of the ancient pagan fertility symbols and they do this to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. Deuteronomy 12:31, “1 Don’t worship the Lord your God that way. The Lord hates the evil ways they worship their gods. They even burn their sons and daughters as sacrifices to their gods!”

Thought for Today: Sunday March 31

Wholehearted trust in YHVH, turns into a whole lot of peace, joy and quietness for our souls. The investment is a simple prayer; "Adonai, my day is in Your control. I trust You completely.

Something which it seems John Piper said - "if we could see into hell for one second, the altars would be filled, and we would be telling people about Christ no matter the cost".
This is, like "the firefighter metaphor", treating hell like a natural disaster rather than the wholly just and measured punishment of God. When the rich man in hell asked Abraham for relief, the first thing Abraham said was to remind him that he was where he should be, and receiving what he should receive.

Those who think of Christ as a talisman against hell (as if against bad luck) would certainly be remiss in not "passing out" Christ. But God punishes no man without reason: they are punished because they know, and have refused the way of life. Christ is not a charm, but God Almighty, the Creator of all, to whom all men should bow, and shall bow, now or in the end.

We should evangelise because people should follow God, not because people should not go to hell.

I tend to agree with your thinking on this. God is not sending people to hell. We are already going there and He is rescuing us because He loves us. However, there is a part we need to play. We cannot just "accept Jesus/Yeshua" and then go live as if we never did, ignoring His clear commands.
