These four things correspond to the four ancient elements: The eagle is air, the serpent is earth, the ship is water, and the man is fire.

At one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.

Sometimes God will use man made symbols to help us remember His truths. Today I'm talking about the difference between God made symbols and man made symbols and how all this relates to head covering.

This is a time to evaluate where you are in life and what you do. Change is just around the corner, and you would do well to make the necessary adjustments as you progress. I have already imparted the wisdom you need for the transition to be smooth, says the Lord. Put your priorities in order. Isaiah 58:8 Then your salvation will come like the dawn, and your wounds will quickly heal. Your godliness will lead you forward, and the glory of the Lord will protect you from behind.

Do you unknowingly share in someone else’s sin? Proverbs 1:10 warns, “My son, if sinners entice you, do not yield to them.” While that sounds easy and is good advice David would later write in Psalm 50:18, “When you see a thief, you befriend him, and throw in your lot with adulterers” Later we read in 2 John 1:10—11, “If anyone comes to you but does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your home or even rejoice with him. Whoever rejoices with such a person shares in his evil deeds.” We are not instructed to distance ourselves from sinners but to be very wary of them. Believers are to be an example for them and not follow their example of sin.
