What is this current war between Israel and Hamas really about? What are the wider issues – not just diplomatic and military issues, but the spiritual issues? Samuel Wearp probes these questions in this second part of our conversation. There is a clear division between good and evil, light and darkness, but why is that so hard to understand?
Our musical selections once again feature Samuel and Benjamin Wearp, as well as Dylan White. They introduce a midrash about spiritual warfare that Barry and David call, “The Priest’s Armor.”

And the word of God continued to increase, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests became obedient to the faith.
Acts 6:7

A great many of the Levitical priests came to believe in Yeshua. Don't ever let anyone tell you that "the Jews" rejected Jesus, so God rejected them. That's nonsense and totally unscriptural. *Some* Jews rejected him and were cut off from the tree of Israel. Others embraced him and hold honored positions in the Kingdom.

The more I read the New Testament looking for evidence for this, the more I see that many, many of the "higher esteemed" Jews accepted Yeshua.

Is anyone here locked out of their Facebook account? I have friends texting me that they cannot access their account. They get a message to create a new password. It appears that the FB messenger is working and also Instagram ( FB owns IG). Is this happening all over the world or only in the US.?

HebrewGospels.com has Matt, Mark, John, James, Jude & Revelation. They are working on translating Luke still, but the hebrew text is there to view. (Rhy Bezuidenhout )

I knew of the Revelation one, and had heard there were others, but couldn't remember what the rest were.

Thanks for that. I am never too old to learn. ?

It looks very insightful and as a person who likes to learn, this might just be a great resource. I have already started to look at the Revelation document before replying here.

The fact that there are now not only the Greek to look at, but also the Hebrew (which will give more understanding of the writings) just makes me even more sensitive about how we communicate the Word. We have to ensure that we get the message across and therefore talk in the language of the listener so that we can actually communicate.

We have to remember that the transfer of the message doesn't come from the listener's side, but from the broadcaster's side. If the speaker doesn't communicate the message clearly in understandable terms then the listener won't understand.

If we now start giving our message with Greek or Hebrew words intermixed with for example English and the listener doesn't know what we are saying then the message gets lost.

Is it better to teach someone to "love your neighbour" or will we teach them to "phileó your neighbour" as we are pedantic about getting the message across 100% as the writer intended it to be?

I would rather talk to a Christian about Jesus and how the message has been twisted over the years and His Hebrew roots removed from the Church's message than start off the bat with "using the name Jesus is wrong and only pagans use it" and insisting on calling Him Yeshua before even starting to give the Good News message.

I aim to be a Roman to the Romans and a Hebrew to the Hebrews. If the Gentiles already have a kind of an understand of what the name Jesus stands for, then why not use it as a foundation? Some people who have come to the understanding of Torah want to first break down the foundation and call people sinners who use the name of Jesus and will only build once the name of Yeshua is acknowledged as their new "foundation of truth".

I am just thinking, if the name "Jesus Christ" is powerless as it isn't Yeshua's "correct" name then why do people insist on using this specific name when swearing? Might it just be that even this transliterated name has power? ?

J.C. is a "taboo" to me because I was tormented by a spirit of suicide from the day i asked J.C. into my heart until the moment i prayed to 'Yahuah & Yeshua: 25 years! I did not receive the Holy Spirit until then & have been suicide free since (14 years).

Stephen was a great man of God, and his official job was to ensure that the widows in Jerusalem were cared for. This might seem like a menial job, but it's one of the most direct expressions of love for our Creator that we are capable of.

He wasn't one of the original Twelve Disciples, yet he still had authority and worked miracles. His face even glowed like Moses' did when he came down from spending 40 days with God on Sinai.

Whatever your task in the Kingdom, if it is God-ordained, then it's important and necessary. The foot seems humble, but if you had to go without one, I assure you that you would miss it.

Acts 6

Daily Daisy Devotional: Tuesday March 05

Help your children to understand that true growth only begins when they start confessing their own weaknesses. (Prayer: Father, lead my children through Your Spirit to a better knowledge of Your Word and of Yourself. Bless them on the road of spiritual growth so that Your Image will be seen in them, amen)

When you look at the TV program "the Chosen", in the episode where Yeshua called Mary Madalene to be His own, she was called Lily by her friends due to the spirit "Lillith". Because of that, I had many very negative commentary over the "Lily Portion" which I write for mother and housewives. I was asked to change the name of the Lily Portion. Thus from today, just to keep the peace, the name of the devotional will change to "Daily Daisy Devotional" -- as suggested but I think someone, somewhere might find that also offensive. If any of you have a better suggestion, I am more than willing to listen. I do apologise if anyone on TTN was offended by the name Lily Portion but it was in reference to the flower, not the spirit.

That is so sad. So should we now remove all the verses that talks about a lily or lilies out of Scripture?

Song of Solomon 2:1-2 (ESV):

"I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys. As a lily among brambles, so is my love among the young women."

Hosea 14:5 (ESV):

"I will be like the dew to Israel; he shall blossom like the lily; he shall take root like the trees of Lebanon."

Matthew 6:28-29 (ESV):

"And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."

Luke 12:27-28 (ESV):

"Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!"
