2 Samuel 11:1, “Now it happened in the spring, at the time when kings go out to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him and all Israel, and they destroyed the sons of Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David stayed at Jerusalem.” About this season of the years is when David first notices Bathsheba. Most translations indicate that she was bathing which would give the impression that she was naked in a tub of water. The Hebrew word (Strong’s H7364) can be defined as bath but it can also simply mean to wash or wash off or wash away. We should consider the possibility that David watched a young woman doing nothing more than washing her face before she goes to bed.

Elohiym wants us to move through this day with a quiet heart, an inward assurance that He is in control. a peaceful certainty that our lives are in His hands.
