Psalm 37:28, “For the LORD loves justice and will not forsake those who trust HIm. They are preserved forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off.” The promise of protection and a warning of destruction is a consistent theme in this Psalm. David is able to describe the scale by which we will be judged by our Creator.

Thought for Today: Wednesday March 13

Because OF Elohiym's grace, we can walk through our days in forgiveness, joy and peace.

I always remind myself that we receive grace post our sinning and asking for forgiveness and not while on our way to do the sin we have planned. While sining, we are still under the full power of the law and judgement as there is no grace yet...

Putting toxins in your body because someone held a gun to your head, is still you choosing to accept. And this your consequences to take.

This month's question: It is pretty clear that YHWH wants us to do the moedim where He places His Name. Several verses in Deuteronomy tell us this. There is also the account in 1 Kings 8 that shows Jerusalem is that place.

But is it still the place? Definitively, I cannot say one way or another, but I do have an opinion.

We see Paul not going up to Jerusalem for 3 years. And even in another account, he is trying to get to Jerusalem, but it doesn't sound like anything more than that was where he wanted to be.

We see in the accounts of Daniel, Ezra, and Nehemiah that there is no mention of them going to Jerusalem for any of the moedim. In fact in the latter two accounts, they find the Torah scrolls and relearn about the moedim and start implementing them.

We know in Isaiah 46:10, YHWH says He makes known the end from the beginning. I see Scripture as cyclical. Things happen in a certain way as laid out. This is part of why I don't believe we have any further Scripture happening. We have everything laid out already.

I see us in the time of the Judges. Everyone is doing right in their own eyes. Sure, we are all trying our best to follow what we feel YHWH wants for us, this includes those still in Judaism and Christianity, but we are all doing what WE see as right. Once we get to the time of David again, our King, will establish His Kingdom and Torah will go out from Jerusalem and we will all be on the same page.

At that point, definitely, we will be going to Jerusalem.

So for now, we do our best with what we can.

I do understand that you are new to the platform and may be burnt by people on other platforms, but that is no reason to speak the way you do.

Scripture says nothing about blaming people for not accepting the Apostles' word, calling them names and only then brushing off the dust off of their feet and moving on.

If you can't teach with tolerance and patience then you might not be cut out to be a teacher.

Please take this as my one and only warning.

When I came to the understanding of Torah, I was all set to "get things done right". I tried to dig into every subject as much as I could, listened to all the available opinions and then realized...

1. We don't know or understand the full impact/implications of Torah.
2. We aren't able to follow it in its foundational form.
3. Some things were changed as time progressed (think about the first and the last Passover meals we read about).
4. Everyone is currently trying to follow Torah the best they understand how.

That is why you get 6 opinions when asking 5 people.

Do I believe that Israel is the only place where Father has put His Name? Yes, in the past, but He has also removed His Name. He will however return again when the heaven and earth has been restored. But not right now.

The new Jerusalem is multiple times larger than what the entire land of Israel currently is, so things will change once again.

I would love to go to Israel once in my life for the experience, but I don't believe that is the only place where Father will care for His children. I personally therefore keep the feasts as a remembrance and not a reenactment as there is no temple to do the sacrifices and even if there is one built now, I know to steer clear from it...

I can also therefore not criticize others in the way they keep it. If I could afford to slaughter a lamb then I would have done it as an reenactment, but not as a blood sacrifice. So, good on those who can afford to keep it in a more memorable form. I pray that it will be a blessing to them and their children and that their children will grow in their faith with such realistic enactments in their lives.

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching...
Romans 12:6-7

I firmly believe that everyone is happier when they know who they are intended to be and embrace it. Discover who God has made you to be and then be that, not who you wish he had made you to be.

Besides, envying someone else's place in the Kingdom is a violation of the tenth commandment: “You shall not covet... anything that is your neighbor's.”
