On that day YHWH exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel, and they stood in awe of him just as they had stood in awe of Moses, all the days of his life.
Joshua 4:14

Don't seek out glory for yourself, but if God puts you into a position of leadership, you might need to accept a certain amount of personal glory for the sake of your mission. People need visible leaders they can look up to and follow.

Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to YHWH. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death.
#exodus 31:15

The weekly Sabbath isn't the first day of the week. It's not whatever day we choose. God specifically sanctified the seventh day and didn't say, "If it's ok with you". #shabbat

Rebatch soap is a great way to use up all those tiny soap s****s. Just like hot process soap, you can use your crockpot to slowly cook down the chopped up soap bits, and make it into new, larger bars.
It has a rustic, primitive look, works just like the original soap, and is fantastic for the budget.
Read how here!?

My husband likes to take the sliver of soap that's left and wet it and the main bar and squish them together and let them dry stuck together. That actually works pretty well. I just recently started using bar soap again and have been trying to figure out what to do with the slivers and I remembered what he used to do, so I tried it. It's working pretty well.

One thing that always strikes me about this section of the Bible is there is no mention of Satan, the devil, the evil one, etc... It's all about man and man's evilness. Sure, it started off in the Garden with Adam and Eve being deceived into sinning, but can we continue to say that everything bad/evil is caused by Satan?

I know in church that seemed to be the general idea. I've even had conversations with people that when anything going wrong with them happened it was Satan or a demon messing with them.

Please note: I am in no way saying that Satan and/or demons aren't a real threat. I have my own stories along those lines.

But, in most cases, we are the cause of our own problems. In this instance of the Tower of Babel, God doesn't hand punishment to anyone but the humans. God says its the humans that can do anything they put their mind to.

Later on, when Yeshua is talking to people, He tells people to "go and sin no more". We have a choice. The people at the Tower had a choice. We can follow God and His Ways or we can follow our own.

What is your choice?

Lily Portion for Today: Monday February 26

Remember, YHVH does not comfort your family to make them comfortable, but to use them to comfort others. (Prayer: Holy Spirit, You are the Comforter who leads my family; Your are the One Who lives in every member of my family. You are the Source of Life Who fills them with True Love, amein)

Blessings TTN family,

Here are two snippets from my recent post. I have been seeking the Lord for His guidance in these important messages. I pray they will encourage you and stir your reaction in this urgent hour.

www.grantsmarshall.com/post/the-kings-men

Part 1: The Kings MenThe Kings Men
It is a great encouragement to know that God chooses the lowly and the humble to do His work. When we look at the prophets of the Lord it is hard to find the most educated and the wealthy among them. But how does someone of low estate or no reputation get to stand in front of kings to deliver their messages?
This passage in proverbs, suggests that it is the skilful undertakings of a man that position him in front of thrones.

Prov 22:29. Do you see a man skilful and experienced in his work? He will stand [in honour] before kings; He will not stand before obscure men.

We have to understand that the undertakings of ministry are endowed with spiritual strength and grace. God knows who He can use for certain things. So why do we worry about what God might ask of us? The only thing that stops us is fear and the disbelief that God may choose us at all......

Part 2: the Sword for the lord and Gideon - G300
.......The people had found their existence under the occupation as difficult as it was perplexing. Gideon’s encounter with the angel of the Lord, all seems quite matter-of-fact. Could it be that Gideon was unaware of to whom he was addressing as he does not seem shocked? After a brief conversation with the angel, and once convinced that he can complete his commission, Gideon asks the Lord to stay, whilst he makes Him a meal. The preparation of the meal was not a quick affair. Graciously the Lord waited....

A practical example of hearing Father's voice:

Since May '23 I have taken time off full-time work to dedicate my efforts on TTN. I am still far off getting everything done which I set out for myself, but have an urgent decision to make.

Do I go back to full-time work to pay for the running of TTN as all our savings are gone, or do I trust that Father will open a door and continue with my work on TTN?

How would you go about asking for direction on this decision?

It is always a difficult decision when things don’t go as you perceive or may be taking time to come to fulfilment.
I know this deeply as one who is in ministry.
I have worked for most of my faith life in ministry (26years) and see the burden it puts upon a marriage. The things you give up for the body is not seen, or comprehended. People don’t see the strife and lack and are very slow in supporting the one who teaches. Yet we do it because, I believe we count the cost for serving our faith family and our Most High. It is all for His glory.
I am facing the same thoughts. No matter what happens , I am still a pastor and a teacher until Father changes it. People see these things in me.
I could have had a big church long ago, and preached zealously on tithing. I could have preached the prosperity gospel and had a media platform. But that is not my bag.
I could have gone down some career path or become a priest in the denominational church, with a salary and a house, but that was not for me either.

However, The answer to call it a day looms every so often.
God’s people lack no good thing. They shall not want. Either the promise is true or it is a lie. We are called to walk together and share the burden , and be invested and interested in each other.
Sometimes the church feeds the needy in its congregations and that is good and right, but it forgets to see how the pastor or those who are leading them are doing. It’s sad but it’s true.

Is it wrong to seek the welfare of one’s own family, I don’t think so. God would want this too. Is what we are doing perfect or permissible? Will the Lord be angry with us if we take either path?

I am going to be bold and say, if the people need this gift that you have given Rhy, then the people should honour it and invest in the vision of this platform.

It honours God and the gift he has given to His children.
Let us read what scripture says.
1Corinthians 9:
8Do I say this from a human perspective? Doesn’t the Law say the same thing? 9For it is written in the Law of Moses: “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.”d Is it about oxen that God is concerned? 10Isn’t He actually speaking on our behalf? Indeed, this was written for us, because when the plowman plows and the thresher threshes, they should also expect to share in the harvest.

11If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much for us to reap a material harvest from you? 12If others have this right to your support, shouldn’t we have it all the more? But we did not exercise this right. Instead, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ.

13Do you not know that those who work in the temple eat of its food, and those who serve at the altar partake of its offerings? 14In the same way, the Lord has prescribed that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel. 15But I have not used any of these rights. And I am not writing this to suggest that something be done for me. Indeed, I would rather die than let anyone nullify my boast.

16Yet when I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because I am obligated to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! 17If my preaching is voluntary, I have a reward. But if it is not voluntary, I am still entrusted with a responsibility. 18What then is my reward? That in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not use up my rights in preaching it.

This is where you must have faith to act. Perhaps it is your self conscience speaking, but doesnt the Spirit speak to us through that channel as well? If you empty yoour mind of what you want/expect/hope to hear before you pray, this will make the aha! moment clearer. I have had aha! moments & i was wrong, but the Spirit mustve wanted me to go down that dead end road to get it out of my system, as i am strong willed. Im refering in specific to the non profit i tried to get going last summer. I eventually realized i wasnt supposed to be doing that at all, but to give food to the little pantries instead. I had to re-read the passages about tithing to understand better. I went into it with 15 years of preconceived hopes and dreams. It blinded me to what i was supposed to be doing. I know its scary to be wrong about Yahs will, but sometimes He lets us do our will so we can better hear His will. Let go & trust Yah. He will get you to wherever you are supposed to be, even if you meander a bit. Its all part of lifes adventures!

I hear a voice. The voice sounds like my own, but I feeel it come from the right side of the back of my neck, not my brain.

An old pentecostal man claimed he was led by the Spirit no matter what irresponsible trouble he got into. He also claimed rolling his tongue around in nonsense was him speaking in tongues. I dont believe either of his claims because of the life he led.

Ive tried to teach my daughter how to hear Yahs voice. Shes given up praying because she says she never hears it. It may be because she refuses immersion. However, Pentecost showed immersion is not necessarily a requirement. The world has been causing her to doubt the validity of the Word, and I think thats part of it. She still keeps Torah, vut she keeps Sabbbath & Holy Days grudgingly. I think her heart meeds that aha! moment to bring her back, but our conversations about Torah have become polarized often. Shes 18, so I really cant do much without making things worse. Im hoping in two summers, when she turns 20 on the Scriptural calendar, she will get immersed. Ive been planning a special trip for it, its just if we can afford it.

I can only speak from my own experiences. Sometimes, Yah will act without giving a "verbal" answer. Dont assume the answerr is no just because you dont hear Him. Hes going to surprise you and strike you with awe!
