Horns on the corners of the an altar were very common throughout the ancient near east. They represent two things:

1) Power and strength like that of an ox
2) The connection to heaven which is enabled and imaged by the offering made on the altar.

Be on guard against manipulation.
FNC used to run stories about people folks who flew giant US Flags that went against HOA rules and try to make the HOA look unpatriotic. They would leave out the fact that normal sized flags were just fine, were flying all over the neighborhood, and the "offenders" had agreed to the HOA rules. They did this just to get us outraged and stay tuned in.

This is one little example of how we are manipulated by media - even media we think are our friends. If you're in a constant state of rage, check out of the news for a while and clear your head. The #torah teaches us to investigate matters thoroughly and without partiality. These commandments are part of a foundation of having psychological peace. The #messiah was crucified by people who disregarded these commandments. While that was prophecy fulfilled, the lesson remains. Stay cool and judge things righteously.
