They brought the donkey and the colt and put on them their cloaks, and he sat on them.
Matthew 21:7

Matthew mentions both donkeys in part because it is another picture of the reunification of Israel and Judah. The coats represent the Disciples' authority over the two houses, but beneath the King.

For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
Romans 6:14 ESV

Sin has dominion over those who are under law. Being “under law” is the same as being under the dominion of sin. If you are an unrepentant sinner, then you are under law. If you have repented of sin and been forgiven, then you are set free from the dominion of sin and are no longer under law. This doesn’t mean that the Law is no longer a guide to righteous behavior as v15 states plainly, but that it no longer has authority to condemn you.

Not under the law of the Jews; Judaism. Read the full chapter. To do away with Yahuah’s Torah is to do away with the sacrifice! If you do not keep Yahuah’s Torah then you are not one of His people.

A thought just crossed my mind, if we (not living in Israel) can't determine Abib 1 as we are for all practical reasons on a long journey and can't view the Abib barley, shouldn't we then be keeping the second Passover?

Num 9:10 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If anyone of you or your posterity is unclean because of a corpse, or is far away on a journey, he may still keep the Lord’s Passover. 11 On the fourteenth day of the second month, at twilight, they may keep it. They shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

This should then address the need to look at other signs as the date will be confirmed...

If we, being in the diaspora, are on a long journey, keeping second passover would mean we have to return to jerusalem by then. Technically, we shouldnt be having lamb or any meat for passover since we cant take it to the temple for sacrifice. Many jews have chicken instead for passover, and they keep the first passover. Also, we are in a permanent state of uncleanliness, so we should not keep the passover. Personally, we keep the passover at the abib time with lamb. Not having the temple makes for a lot of technicalities. One of which is: since 'Yahuah has made His Name known in our homes, are we supposed to make altars to sacrifice to Him? I know some people on this platform practice this, but is it acceptable to Yah?

Well, I think we either have the internet and can hear in under 1 second when the Barley is ready in Israel or we have we have no way of knowing when second Passover time either.

I guess in Northern Hemisphere you could grow Barley and observe that if electricity and internet ceased to exist for any reason. But in Southern Hemisphere what could be done to determine Aviv?

Leviticus 23:9—11, “And the LORD said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say, ‘When you enter the land that I am giving you and you reap its harvest, you are to bring to the priest a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest. And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD so that it may be accepted on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath.” Firstfruits is not simply the first barley harvested in the spring but the very best of the first part of the harvest.

Lily Portion for Today: Friday January 19

Mothers, remember, teenagers always “know” better than their parents. Teach them that self-knowledge prevents them from becoming self-satisfied. (Prayer: Father, help my children to humble themselves before You, so You can teach them through Your Holy Spirit what You wish them to become, amein)

Thought for Today: Friday January 19

YHVH enjoys expressing His love for you, making you feel valuable and showing you that your life is a priceless gift to be celebrated. When it is quiet and your spirit is at peace, He whispers "You are the Apple of My Eye".
