We all want to live forever - or do we? Maybe what we really want is relief from the suffering of this life. That's what we expect in the life to come, but what if this life is preparation for responsibilities we will carry in the next life?

Because of so many scams, false reports or outright lies becoming viral on social media and in the news, how are we to distinguish what is the truth? Deuteronomy 19:15, “A lone witness is not sufficient to establish any wrongdoing or sin against a man, regardless of what offense he may have committed. A matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.” A witness is someone who observed the event, not someone repeating a rumor. But a witness can also be an honest picture or video also. Sadly we can no longer trust what we read or see to be truth, we must verify everything.

No one ever cuts their hands off and gouges their eyes out even though Yahshua said to do this when these cause us to do evil…we understand by the drastic and absurd nature of the commandment that it is spoken hyperbolically. We know this instinctively. So why do we have such a hard time understanding the context of the rest of His instructions?
