Stephen is seen as the first Christian martyr. I've heard many sermons that the only reason they killed him was because of his faith in Jesus/Yeshua.

One of the things I didn't ever catch until I read the account myself was that wasn't what caused them to stone him. He was calling out their hypocrisy. He tells them that God gave them the Law, yet none of them follow it.

The other aspect of this account, that I am pointing out in the comic, is that many believe that Yeshua came and fulfilled the Law to the point we don't have to do it anymore. A change. This is the exact thing that they set up false witnesses to say Stephen is going around preaching. If the whole purpose of Yeshua's death and resurrection was to do away with the Law in the sense that believers in Him no longer needed to do those customs, why would Stephen's accusers need to setup false witnesses? Couldn't they just catch him preaching that very thing?

I am struggling with time and finances at the moment. However, if I understand the setup correctly, it does appear the bronze level annual memberships are fairly small. Once a year, not monthly. I am hoping to be able to swing something like that in a month or two.

There are a couple I could vote on (lack resources, content engagement), but they don't outweigh each other. I don't mind ads. It's part of the internet. It is when they get excessive that it becomes a problem. Like most recipe and news sites. I understand the need for funds to run a site though. I have been in the same situation for a while now wanting to get a site of my own going for the comics. My current host is totally free, but also on a funding campaign atm. -- I wonder if the shift in Gab (which I've never used) and struggles you are seeing are from the shift in social media in general. It has been shifting away from microblogging over the past several years. The micro-blogs are more Gen X, photo share like IG Millennials, and Gen Z Short-form video like TikTok for their user-base. As the younger generation gravitates toward their preference, the others will follow. Sure, there will always be some that stay, look at message boards like Reddit and chat systems like IRC & Discord - both the social medias of their times (80's & 90's respectively), still tons of those around, but the shift is happening.

Believers in the churches and also in various Torah movements are currently at great risk of going into great tribulation...and will be mortified when it hits...Yahusha spent his earthly life trying to find the lost sheep both "churchianity" and the those in Torah movements have put stumbling blocks in front of them...I've shared what exactly those stumbling blocks look like in studies on my feed there is still some time to repent here...Its been hard to have the revelations I have I must warn Yahusha was hated by his own people the apostles were killed not for telling people what they wanted to hear...quite the opposite..

I don't dare count myself in their number lest I be presumptuously (blessing myself) I've thought about what you mentioned I've thought "what if they are all children?) The 144 000 have the other things mentioned that take discernment to acquire though so I have still wondered what if they are children alive today taught by parents who know these things...regardless it is of great importance to find the lost sheep of Israel...if the 144 000 are adults or if some of them are imagine like Yahusha you spend your time trying to find the lost sheep and the 144 000 and then in due time discover you are one? You find yourself and become one with Yahh and Yahusha...gotta be in the scriptures often to train discernment and not be judging what we hear with our ears or see with our eyes but judge righteous judgment

Knowing that 'Messiah' is already the Greek for the Hebrew, what valid reason do you have to change Yahshua's Title for blatant idolatry? Show me with Scripture. If we are not allowed to even say the idols' names, what makes you so confident in changing Yahuah's esteem for that of idols? I don't care about commentary or your opinion. Scripture or nothing.
