Margot Crossing and Richard Hewitt have learned to believe God’s promises to regather and restore all Israel. That’s why they have been working for many years among people groups in Asia who know their connection to ancient Israel, and why they are shepherding the establishment of an institute to dedicate serious academic attention to this subject. They just took a major step by participating in the Interconnectivity of Ancient Israel in Asia Symposium in Aizawl, India, in November 2023. In this three-part interview, we hear about the symposium, and about the contributions to it by scholars from Japan, Korea, India, and other nations.

Leviticus 23:16, “You shall count off fifty days until the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an offering of new grain to the LORD.” If this fifty day period sounds familiar, it should. The appointed time of Shavuot has become Pentecost in the modern Christian church. By changing theme and often the time of this important feast day many have lost the meaning and the importance of this appointed time.

The Christian faith, simply stated, reminds us that our fundamental problems are not moral; rather, our fundamental problems are spiritual. It is not just that we are immoral, but that a moral life alone cannot bridge what separates us from Elohiym. Herein lies the cardinal difference between the moralizing religions and Yeshua's offer to us. Yeshua does not offer to make bad people good but to make dead people alive.

Whatever I do – no matter what it is – in word or deed, I do everything in the Name of Yeshua and in dependence upon His Person, giving praise to YHVH the Father through Him. Whatever my task may be, I work at it heartily from deep within my soul as if it is done for Adonai my YHVH and not for people. May Your name be glorified, be honoured and praised forever and ever.
