I went to the registry yesterday to reapply for my learners license and was denied because I failed to take a medical exam for a seizure I had almost eleven years ago. I was late by a couple minutes; literally two minutes and they sent me away to come back in another six months, and it slipped my brain and haven't even tried since. Thankfully I wasn't driving when it happened. I was in a paintball field throwing battle snowballs, haha. Good times. Gonna see a doctor today hopefully, or at least set up an appointment for a doctor to give me a referral to see a doctor to send me to a specialist to get a test that could take between 1-2 hours and I gotta stay up all night the night before. I remember that because Ben and I hung out all night, horsing around on the farm and watching the stars. Now I gotta do it on my own. Well, you're never really alone; just without humans. Gouda morning, fellow humans! Enjoy your day and stay safe out there! Praise Yahuah! Pray for your enemies and those hating you! HalleluYah!

And assemble all the congregation at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
#leviticus 8:3 #tzav

Mass rituals and corporate worship are important elements of community cohesiveness and the continuity of tradition and culture. We just need to make sure that we never mistake the memorials for the One we are supposed to be remembering.

Origins of the Trinity in Scripture

I came upon a video where the presenter has the following to say and I want to find out whether someone has looked at this from a Torah perspective as general commentaries are from a modern-Christian view:

In the 16th century, Erasmus, a Dutch scholar, produced the first printed edition of the Greek New Testament. This edition, relied upon by later translators including those of the King James Bible, was based on a few late medieval manuscripts. Despite its significance, it contained some inaccuracies, such as the absence of 1 John 5:7-8, known as the Johannine Comma, a passage supporting the doctrine of the Trinity. Erasmus agreed to include it in future editions if presented with a Greek manuscript containing it. Opponents then produced a Greek manuscript, likely fabricated, to meet Erasmus' condition. Despite his initial misgivings, Erasmus included the Johannine Comma in subsequent editions, shaping the text used in English Bibles, including the King James Version.

I see that the NIV has replaced the popular version of 1 John 5:7-8 with:

"For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement."

The NIV can be useful or harmful. There are verses added in by the ttanslator, such as where Yeshua was talking about how unwashed cups dont make a person unclean. There are also verses ommitted that were in the KJV. Are there any footnotes to this passage, as that may tell us if this wording is from the masoretic texts?

1Jn 5:7-8 BSB 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit, the water, and the blood—and these three are in agreement.

Footnote on 7: 7 b TR and GOC three that testify in heaven: The Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 8And there are three that testify on earth:

It is my understanding that is a scribal add-on and not in the actual original text. However, if you look carefully all through the bible, you can find hints and other evidences of a triune God. I don't debate it with people. I don't think the idea of a triune God rises and falls on that one particular phrase that was not in the originals.

Human sacrifice

While looking at the origins of the Trinity teaching, I came across a video where the #crucifixion of Yeshua was likened to a human sacrifice, which Father is strongly against. The argument was that Bible believers can't believe in the crucifixion and then say that we follow Father as Deuteronomy 12:31 warns us:

"You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods."

What I have noticed is that other verses also talks about burning their children as a sacrifice: Leviticus 18:21, Jeremiah 19:5 and Psalm 106:37-38

What is your understanding in the crucifixion?

Yeshua was not passed through the fire of molech. Also, there is the story of the man who vowed to sacrifice to Yah the first thing that came out of his house to greet him. It was his virgin daughter. She asked to mourn her virginity, and then it is implied that he sacrificed her. So human sacrifice is not unprecedented.

The gentleman that “sacrificed” his daughter to YaH didn’t kill her. From my understanding he sent her to the temple where she was to fully devote herself you him. Essentially but not literally become a nun. Full service to the Most High God. She was no longer a part of her father’s house but God’s house.

In regards to Rhy’s question. My understanding of the crucifixion of Yeshua was a lot more that human sacrifice. Since Yeshua was fully human to serve the House of YaH and to pave the way for us believers as the suffering servant he is also fully God. To my understanding God sacrificed himself to allow for his creation to be accepted in his Kingdom. Much like Yeshua said no one person has been to heaven but him. He had to be slain like the Levitical priest slain the bulls, goats, lambs, turtle doves etc to make way and prepare the heavenly Tabernacle for us to be able to fully worship and honor the Most High.

Sin brings death. If you've ever watched National Treasure, the detective tells the main character "someone's gotta go to jail".

Same thing here: someone's gotta die. He died so we don't have to.

I think people look at it from the bodily death standpoint, but when we look at Biblical death, the bodily death is sleep, the second death is what death is. That is what I believe He took in our place, which is why the enemy would have riled people up to act out in killing Him. He knew that it wasn't just a bodily death, which could be easily raised as we saw with Lazarus. This was the second death because He took that sin upon Him. The final death, nothing else afterward. Which He still came back from, taking victory over it and giving us a way to keep from having to take on that death.
