What is considered the "book of the Law"?
Reading 2 Chronicles 34 this morning where Shaphan took the book to King Josiah and he read it to Josiah.
The king is also commanded to write himself a copy of the Law. I wouldn't think that the first 5 books where read to Josiah in a quick reading, so it has to be more specific. Does it possibly only consist of Exodus 20-23?
Does anyone have a better understanding of what this book specifically consisted of?

“Trust in Adonai with all thine Heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Healing Prayer:
Abba Elohiym, help me in my choice of a doctor to trust You with all my heart, without leaning on my own understanding. In all my ways including choosing a doctor, I acknowledge You and I know You will direct my path to the doctor who is best for me. Because I know You will supply all of my needs according to Your riches in glory by Yeshua Moshiach. I express faith to You now that You will meet my need for the right doctor for my situation. Thank You Abba. Thank You for Your faithfulness and Your mercy, which are always with me. Your loving-kindness is better than life to me and I know You will never allow Your faithfulness to fail me. Therefore, I ask You to lead me, guide me and take care of me according to Your tender mercies. I delight myself in You Adonai YHVH Rophe and I know you will give me the desire of my heart which is to find the right doctor. Therefore, I commit my way to you, trusting completely in You and I know You will meet this need. As I rest in You Abba and wait patiently for You, I will never worry or fret, because Your peace which passes all understanding will guard my heart and mind through Yeshua Moshiach. Give me sound wisdom and discretion dear Abba, for they will be life to my soul and grace to me. Your wisdom and discretion will let me walk safely so that my foot will not stumble, for You Adonai YHVH Rophe are my confidence. Let Your wisdom and discretion direct me in my choice of a doctor and medical caregivers. I trust You Abba, to guide me by Your Ruach Kodesh in all my decisions. In Yeshua Name I pray, amen.

God often uses tribulation to sift and train his people. Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Moses and the Exodus... Expect this pattern all the way to the End.

#torah is both blessing and curse. Fortunately, you get to choose which one it will be to you. Curses and blessings in life aren't arbitrary. Everything happens for a reason even if you can't tell what it is.
Many things that seem to be curses are actually blessings. Remember that God has a broader perspective than we do, and He is in charge.
Many things that seem to be blessings are actually curses. Be wary of temporary pleasures that come with enduring costs. God's instructions aren't arbitrary.

I've seen people use Deuteronomy to mimic the practice of making a copy of the Law.

Deut 17:14 “When you have entered the land Adonai your God is giving you, have taken possession of it and are living there, you may say, ‘I want to have a king over me, like all the other nations around me.’ 15 In that event, you must appoint as king the one whom Adonai your God will choose. He must be one of your kinsmen, this king you appoint over you — you are forbidden to appoint a foreigner over you who is not your kinsman. 16 However, he is not to acquire many horses for himself or have the people return to Egypt to obtain more horses, inasmuch as Adonai told you never to go back that way again. 17 Likewise, he is not to acquire many wives for himself, so that his heart will not turn away; and he is not to acquire excessive quantities of silver and gold.
18 “When he has come to occupy the throne of his kingdom, he is to write a copy of this Torah for himself in a scroll, from the one the cohanim and L’vi’im use.
