When a question is posed (be it online or in person) about what YOU do in regards to your beliefs, do you feel like you have to walk on eggshells and be polite with your response or do you bluntly answer with what YOU do, as the question was posed?

Share your experience.

Ooo, tough question as I want to use the opportunity to teach and not scare people off. I would be honest about my beliefs with gentleness, but then explain why I believe that way. Some could call it walking on eggshells... The easiest way to scare people off is to go in "strong".

I have come to the belief that I can't make people believers, I can only live my life and show that way what I believe in. If someone reject it then I don't reject them, but continue to wait for another opportunity to share my beliefs.

So many people say they are believers and then don't show any fruit of the Spirit to the world. Most likely as they don't have any to show...

If we keep showing the world our fruit then it does attract those who do want to hear.

I agree Rhy. If we just keep on keepin on, some eyes will open and think "i want whatever they have" and will be open to listening. I often need to try to summarize my beliefs. When i concisely say "messianic karaite jewish (or joish)" most get the understanding of a small group of believers with specific medical and dietary rules. Sometimes i dont feel the person will understand the ramifications of a statement like that, so i try to sum it up as i used to be christian and still believe in messiah, but also believe in the old testament now. I know according to karaite rules, im not a karaite and i dont live in LA or NY so i cant sojourn among them, but i have the same seeking and testing spirit they have, so, in a way, I am sojourning with them because the new testament says we are children of abraham if we believe the same gospel he did. I also may have some old jewish genealogy, but its hard to hunt down paperwork pre1799. I dont mean to be arrogant or misleading, but simplify things so people understand the basics.

Leviticus 19:18, “Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against any of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.” For almost four thousand years mankind assumed that each one had love for oneself. Even Paul makes this assumption in Ephesians 5:29, “Indeed, no one ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church.” Today is different, today there are people who hate who they are designed to be, they hate their bodies to the point of mutilation. Is it reasonable to expect others to love you if you have chosen to hate yourself? Is it reasonable to expect to be treated with kindness and respect when you have chosen to treat yourself with hatred and disrespect? Self hatred happens when we begin to follow an UNholy spirit, one that will do all it is able to have someone destroy themself.
