I listened to an interesting lesson from David Digas Hernandez this morning on overcoming spiritual bondage through successful spiritual warfare practices. I found it highly informative and took quite a few notes to assist me in overcoming unproductive habits.



Here is one of my main takeaways:
Any sin cycle is spiritual bondage.
All spiritual bondage is based on deception.

Sin Cycle Steps
Lies root to sprout Deception
Deception becomes a thought pattern
Thought patterns grow into a way of feeling or behavior
Ungodly feelings or behaviors become a sin habit.
A sin habit becomes a repetative sin behavior cycle
A sinful behavior cycle = Spiritual Bondage

More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Romans 5:11 ESV

God's commandments bring a level of fulfillment and peace that can't be found anywhere else, but it is only through the reconciliation purchased by Yeshua that we can ever achieve that joy. Any other path leads only to disappointment and heartache.
