With this last Sabbath's portion, I found out that during each of these years that I have been doing the Portions comics, that there are one-off Portions that didn't happen during that time. So I will be making these and putting them out as my Monday comic so that I can complete all of the Portion summaries.

Modern English too often allows words with 2 separate definitions to be used interchangeably. the English word redemption should mean to be redeemed but today it has become synonymous with salvation. When we use a coupon, we are accepting and then using the chance to exchange what is supplied by the manufacturer for something of value at a lower price. Salvation from the original Hebrew, is not at all what our modern English implies. The original Hebrew grammar instead suggests that salvation is the expectancy of life. Not this mortal life but eternal life, so when Jacob said in Genesis 49;18, “I await Your salvation, O LORD.” he is looking forward to his everlasting life.
