#leviticus 16:8

However, the lot cast at Yom Kippur doesn't fall. The Hebrew word alah means ascend, not fall. It ascends to Heaven for God to judge between the two goats.

Azazel is mentioned in the book of Enoch. I don’t know if you all read that one, but it talks about how Azazel was a fallen angel and a lead angel who taught people to make weapons of war, color for women’s eyes, and other things that were deemed evil. Azazel was buried under the earth with rocks on his head so that he could not see light and he awaits the day of judgement. I need to look up that scripture reference when I get time. :-) Hope that info is a blessing!

Does anyone have suggestions for heating a greenhouse in the colder months? I'd appreciate both electricity and non/electric options, as the outlet closest to the greenhouse doesn't work at the moment.

You might try using unfinished compost in a bucket or hot manure like chicken or cow. They produce heat as they break down. If it’s a large enough greenhouse you could paint some 55 gallon drums black and fill with water. When put in the sun they will become a heat sink.

Here are some ideas you could try. I have seen that 55 gallon drums filled with water has already been recommended. I will say nothing more about that. The next option can be using a small wood stove at one end. That is the way lots of people have done it in alaska. Another way is to use an electric radiant heater. I can't remember any other ways at the moment as normally in Alaska when it got cold you couldn't grow anything and there was no choice. Straw bales will help to insulate but it sounds like your option is only to heat.

Leviticus 16:8

Who or what is Azazel? The meaning of the word is uncertain, but there are some possibilities. The most likely explanations seem to be az azel (goat of departure) or azaz el (fierce god), but also look at the individual letters:

Azazel is spelled Ayin-Zayin-Aleph-Zayin-Lamed. If the ancient ancient pictographic origins of these letters are taken metaphorically, they could mean "Vision - Cut off - Strength - Cut off - Authority".

Vision, power, and authority are three vital components of leadership. If they are separated, if a leader lacks any one of them, destruction may follow.

How much credence should be given to such interpretations is debatable, of course.
