I remember when I was younger I was told that I needed to pray every night for forgiveness of my sins because I might have sinned and not known about it. Sin was this big mysterious thing that we just did without knowing. Then I started reading the Bible for myself and found that sin isn't some mysterious thing. God lists out what sin is so that we keep from it. We are told in 1 John 3:4 that sin is transgressing the Torah. Paul tells us in Romans that if it wasn't for the Torah, we wouldn't know what sin was.

This is why most Christians today do not know what sin is and still treat it like this big mysterious thing that they can't keep from doing, because they don't study Torah. Yeshua even tells people in his interactions in the Gospels "Go and sin no more". Why would He tell people this if this was something unobtainable? Wouldn't that be mocking the sinner in question?

Learn God's Ways, which are listed in Torah. Then go, and sin no more.

Today’s Notes.

In Revelation, we have been reading about Babylon’s long war against God, when she appeared to be victorious. Now in chapter 14, we start reading about God’s war with Babylon, when He will be victorious against her. We have, in fact, been reading details of the second interval period, the Reformation and its effects. The chiastic structure really throws the contrast between the True Lamb who appears on Mount Zion, and the false lamb of Rev 13, and the true and false believers, into stark relief. The Rev 12:1-15:4 Second Interval expanded chiasm pdf is new for today.

Shalom! Take a look at our lesson we offer for Shemoth. In lesson 13.1 called "The Burning Bush" several generations have been born to Ya’aqob’s sons since the story of Yoseph. The Yisra’elites are now slaves in Mitsrayim (Egypt) and are forced to do hard labor under a new Pharaoh who did NOT remember Yoseph. The Mitsrites became fearful of the growth of the Yisra’elites and tried to get rid of all the newborn baby boys. They tried to enlist midwives to help kill them at birth, and also threw the newborn boys into the river. In this week’s Parsha Pearls lesson, we will be introduced to Mosheh and his story.
