We’re getting ready to add fresh layers and future meat to the homestead. We like to maximize the usefulness of everything around here, and our birds are no different. Eventually, our breeding stock will provide eggs and meat by producing offspring. We eat the boys and refresh the layers every year with the girls. We’re adding DUCKS: Swedish, Cayuga & Welch Harlequin; and CHICKENS: Blue & Splash Ameracauna, Lavender Orpington, and Salmon Faverolle.

Continuing in the book of 1 John, Rabbi Steve Berkson begins this teaching in chapter 5 where John tells us that belief in Messiah Yeshua and all that carries with it does not come from us, but that belief or knowledge and relationship has been birthed in us from above.
In verses 2 and 3 Rabbi Berkson points out that, again, love is connected to Torah Observance and that the commandments of Yahweh are not heavy or burdensome.
In verse 4 John calls us who believe, overcomers. Having been born of Elohim and given the ability to have a relationship with Messiah Yeshua we overcome the world through that belief. Rabbi Berkson clarifies what overcoming the world looks like – we see things and respond to challenges in our lives differently than the way the world does.
Moving on, Rabbi Berkson takes us to the Gospel of John, same writer, different book, to link what we learned from 1 John with what is being conveyed in the gospel writing. Yeshua speaks metaphorically of the relationship we have with Him and the Father by using vines and branches and a gardener who takes care of the whole thing.
Rabbi Berkson once again dissects these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings.

According to Matthew 4:23-25, Yeshua began his ministry in the Galilee, teaching and healing in the towns where he grew up. Although people from Galilee, Judea, and the Decapolis all followed him, it was only in Syria that his fame spread in those early days. Why Syria? The answer lies in the geography, politics, and culture of the region, but especially in human nature.

With religion we learn self control, not surrender. We learn to change the outward, but we don't become a new creation.
We mistake some of the changes in our lives as fruits of the Spirit, but even the unbelievers can change their lives in this way.
Have we ever really experienced these words of Yeshua, "Whoever puts his trust in me, as the Scripture says, rivers of living water will flow from his inmost being!" (John 7:38 CJB )?
I pray I will be changed, not by my own efforts (because that change never sticks), but because He lives in me and I surrender my will to Him.
Shalom everyone,
I've been busy updating some website material for the ministry.
If you get the time check it out.
You will find original worship music and I hope, some inspiring messages.
I pray you will be blessed.
