Who was the man who gave Joseph directions to his brothers in Genesis 37:15? The Holy Spirit, an angel like Gabriel, Yeshua or someone else? Papyrus and parchment was too expensive to waste words, so he's not mentioned "just because".
In v17 the man tells Joseph that his brothers have gone to Dothan, which means "two wells." If a well is a picture of a people, this is a prophecy of the divided Kingdom of Israel.
