First, God/Yahweh's people are righteous when they are in a right relation with Him. They become “righteous” by His gift of salvation through Jesus/Yeshua (Romans 10:6; Philippians 3:9).

In addition, the Scriptural definition of living righteously is found in Deuteronomy 6:25, "And it shall be our righteousness, fi we observe to do all these Commandments before the LORD our God/Elohim as He has commanded us."

Hosea, the prophet of divine love, also ties righteousness with mercy, loving kindness, and justice (Hosea 2:19; 10:12 ). Having within the covenantal relation with Elohim is the gift of salvation. The covenant people of God/Elohim are then called to live righteously. His people are to behave as the people of the holy LORD. They are to live in conformity to His will, expressed in the Torah (Psalm 1:4-6 ; 11:7 ; 72:1; Isaiah 1:16-17 ).

Many claim the forgiveness of God/Yahweh, while their lives look no different from those who do not know the Messiah.

We pursue His will when we keep His Commandments:
"For it is not those who hear the Law who are righteous in God/Yahweh’s sight, but it is those who obey the Law who will be declared righteous" (Romans 2:13).

“Flee from youthful passions, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the LORD from a pure heart” (2 Timothy 2:22).

"But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God/Elohim. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?" (James 2:14-26)

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled" (Matthew 5:6).

The Romans 4 LLV134 for 2022 recording includes a short elucidation of Paul's reasoning process: that IF Yah's promises to Abraham are waiting for a people whom the Law will declare righteous, AS that is never going to happen, THEREFORE God would have effectively made a promise that He would not have to keep. But BECAUSE God keeps His promises, THEREFORE His promise to Abraham must be fulfilled with people whom the Law would not declare righteous, BUT who still can be declared righteous and become righteous through faith in Yeshua's Announcement and His atoning blood and life-giving Spirit.

Please bring us to have gladness and joy in our heart. Restore to us with hope of salvation, trusting in You with the fullness of Faith. Bring to silence those who condemn or hate us, and turn our eyes upon Your Redemption plan for all who love You. We Glorify You and give thanks in all. Please bless our family and friends. Bless every head of their homes and bless their good labour. Please fill every child's heart with joy and their lives with Your love. Let Thy Kingdom come and will be done on earth as in heaven.
