The shepherds came and drove them away, but Moses stood up and saved them, and watered their flock.
Exodus 2:17
Like the shepherds who kept Jethro's daughters from their well and the stone that kept Rachel's flock from hers, false teachers keep God's people from receiving His Spirit and Word. Like Moses, Messiah #yeshua came to drive them away.
Why did Yitro allow his daughters to go into the field without protection? He probably didn't. Their guards are probably omitted from the story in order to highlight the prophetic and spiritual symbolism.
I think I just realized why Christmas is such a hot subject this year. Two reasons, one being that others have not been able to keep it for the last year due to covid; the second being that it is on shabbat and Satan feels the pain of us not keeping it. It is a double insult before Yahweh if we keep it and on the other hand, a double insult to Satan should we also not keep it. Stay strong, and serve Yah with sincerity and truth in our hearts without idolatry. Shalom
Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters, and they came and drew water and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.
Exodus 2:16
The number of Jethro's daughters is significant: seven lamps on the Menorah, seven penitent women in Isaiah 4:1, seven spirits of God in Revelation 3, seven congregations of Revelation 1-2, etc... #shmot
