God stopped to tell Abraham what he was about to do to Sodom because he wanted to invite Abraham to interceded on their behalf. He took God up on that invitation by appealing to God's own character and reputation (his name) to intercede on behalf of the people of Sodom. An illustration for us on how to approach God and a witness to Abraham's merciful, generous character.
Abraham knew Sodom was a moral cesspit. He didn't want anything to do with them, but he still tried to save them. He didn't try to save only the few righteous, but the many wicked as well.
I don't know quite what to think of that.

Blessed are You Yahuah Eloheinu, Owner of Light and Life. We rejoice in Your presence and seek to live fully in Your light. By the Word that created light out of darkness, grant that Your light may shine in Your Church. Let our lives be filled with Your light that others may be drawn to Your light. Let Your Church throughout the world be radiant with Your love. Adonai, by the light that has come into the world, reveal Your peace and justice to the nations. Guide our rulers and thinkers that we may live in harmony and generosity and that none may hunger or suffer from want. Father, by the Light that shines in the face of Yeshua Moshiach, fill our homes with Your love and joy. Bless our loved-ones, families, friends and all whom we meet. Father, by the light that destroys darkness, bring hope and comfort to all who suffer, all who are ill, all who have a disability and all victims of crime. We pray especially for those whose lives are darkened by fear or their past. We ask that Your light shine in and around us that our sins may be forgiven and that all evil will flee from us. We thank You for all that we have and our daily Word. And we pray this in the Name of our King and Messiah, Yeshua Moshiach. Amein.
For if the blood of goats and of bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who have been defiled sanctifies to the extent of cleanness of the flesh, how much more will the blood of the Christ, who through an everlasting spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works that we may render sacred service to the living God?
#hebrews 9:13-14
“Dead works” are those actions that transgress the Law and thus put us under its jurisdiction. The blood of bulls and goats is effective for sanctifying the flesh, but completely ineffective for sanctifying the spirit from those dead works. (Although sin is both physical and spiritual, it should be clear from the context that the author is referring to sin’s taint on the soul in 10:4.) The present tense used by the author is especially important. The blood of bulls and goats is effective for the flesh and is not effective for the spirit. In fact, the temple sacrifices were never effective for sanctifying the spirit.

Have you maintained a faithful, straight walk in Torah? Or, have you gotten “off the path” a little or a lot? Do you sense a call to return to the path, to Yahweh?
Taking us to Jeremiah 29:12 Rabbi Steve Berkson points out Yahweh’s pattern of behavior towards His people. When He needs to correct covenant behavior He starts with small subtle nudges and then uses more severe measures to get our attention. Then at some point if He determines we are not listening or responding, we will be turned loose to “play with the pigs” and hopefully come to ourselves and return to Him and the Covenant.
• What’s the first thing one should do when returning to Yahweh?
• What is “hedging an apology”?
• What is not seeking Yahweh with all your heart?
In Isaiah 55:6 two things are mentioned – seeking Yahweh while He can still be found, and calling on Him while He is near.
• What causes Him to not be near? What separates and causes distance between you and Him?
• Why do we not fully understand and accept His ways?
• What are 3 things that will forever be in the Kingdom of Elohim?
From there, Rabbi Berkson takes us to Lamentations chapters 3 and 5 where we see the formula for a prayer of repentance.
• Have you ever been contrary to the Covenant out of rebellion?
• What does this mean, “renew our days as of old”?
Then we hop back to Jeremiah 6:8-17 where we see how Torah is much more than just “The Law”, but it is for our instruction. Yahweh wants us to be ‘instructed’ by Him.
• How can our ears be “uncircumcised”?
• Why does Yahweh want to see us walk out His instructions?
• What is “greedy for gain”?
Verse-by-verse and step-by-step Rabbi Steve Berkson takes us on the journey of discovery and learning how to covenant with our Creator and Father which from time to time requires us to turn around and return to His Word so that we can have a sure entrance into His Kingdom.

The Genesis 2 Hebrew for 2022 recording elucidates a pun in the Hebrew text.
The Hebrew for 2022 recordings demonstrate the Grenache tonal reading method for the Hebrew text which brings out the meaningful divisions of verses, according to semantic meaning of the cantillation marks found in the Masoretic text.
The Genesis 1 LLV126 and Genesis 2 LLV126 for 2022 recordings explain that man made religion has incorrectly divided the word of truth here. This telling of the creation week does not conclude with the end of what man has called 'Genesis 1', but continues into 'Genesis 2' as far as 'Genesis 2:4' to include not just the six days of God's creating, but also the seventh day in which He rested, and which He then set apart as holy from others days, before there was yet an Israelite or Jew or non-Jew or Christian or Muslim. Pay attention to YHWH's truth, individual, that it may remain with thee and in thee, and in thee grow, lest what thou thinkest to have be taken from thee.

Thought for Today: Wednesday October 20:
Why are you so depressed O my being? And why are you restless within me? Wait for Elohim, for I shall yet thank Him for the deliverance of His Face. Psalm 42:5
No matter how dark it gets, how lonely you feel or how you may experience rejection, you are not alone. Because Yahuah loves you and is always with you, you can have confidence that if you live His way to the best of your ability and put your trust in Him, you will discover how to withstand every shock in this life. Belief can beat the blues!
