1 Chronicles 4:9-10
Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother named him Jabez saying, “Because I bore him with pain.” Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm that it may not pain me!” And God granted him what he requested.
Mazen posted listen to your own voice, follow your soul and you are your own guru. Or something close to that.
Here is my commitment to that post.
Being YOUR OWN GURU?
There are tons of people who look in the mirror and see a guru who knows their problems and even has made them. I used to talk to myself, my internal evaluation. It always let me down. I thought I am sick of being my own god, let the real one take over. So, I gave my SOUL back to Jesus The Christ with the Heavenly Father and my new best friend the Holy Spirit. Went into the study to prove if it's right or wrong. The Bible never let me down. And now I have not only the playbook. Then what? I wake up every morning and say, LORD what battle do you want to stand in and stand for today? And I go into battle against principalities on high. Demons that are seen and unseen. I call on my LORD who tells me I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me. Spiritual Warfare. I am what The "I AM " says I am.
God answers when we call and even before. If we don't hear or see his answer immediately, take heart; our rescue has already been set in motion, but we need to be patient and wait for his timing. God preserves the humble and faithful even in the midst of trouble. This doesn't mean we are spared trouble, but that our circumstances always serve God's purposes and our ultimate good.
Pride is self-defeating. We lift our heads to be seen by the world, while the only One who matters turns away in favor of those who seek him instead of worldly fame and fortune. The most powerful men in all the earth will bow to God and thank him for his loving kindness when he finally makes his full truth known to them.
