Here is what my friend sent me.
1. Sunrise and sunset. Yes, I’ve heard the perspective argument, and various other light bending theories that make the flat earth theory sound almost believable, but I am an amateur astronomer, and have personally observed the suns apparent size is consistent throughout the day, by using a professional grade solar filter. In addition, it’s rather interesting how flat earth theory adherents try to rationalize the consistency of heat throughout the day! If the sun is the source of heat, and it varies so incredibly in distance from any given point on earth, then obviously you’d be baked at noon, and frozen at night!
2. Gravity. Yes, I know the majority of flat earth adherents tend to state that gravity does not exist, claiming “density theory” as a legitimate explanation for the observed effects of gravity. Obviously, density differences are clearly shown between different substances, and dense objects like rocks will sink in water. This theory fails to explain the attraction between the other planets and their moons, and also what causes them to maintain orbits. A large number of flat earth theory believers also claim that the entirety of the earth’s matter is accelerating up at 9.8 meters per second squared. This would require a constant miracle from God in order to maintain.
3. Photos and video from space. Regardless of the many flat earth people claiming that all photos and such from space are fake, it’s hard for them to reconcile this with the fact that several countries would have to be in on this deception. In addition to photos and videos, we also have many individuals from many countries who have been to space.
4. Antarctica. Yeah. Seen a map by a flat earth artist recently? Antarctica would be over 100,000 kilometers of icy coast, which is kind of huge. Why would literally no country or organization have found a way to visit the edge of this disc? You can’t claim that the people running this deception would have enough patrol ships to keep people away; that would take more ships than entire naval fleets!
5. Stars. I could go on all day, bringing up points like angles of declination and ascension conflicts in celestial bodies, ocean tides, lunar light reflection, the spherical nature of all other observed planets (and moons), ships and other objects sinking over the horizon of water, satellites (I’ve personally seen the ISS in orbit through my telescope), seismic waves through the earth’s crust, and many others. But here’s the single best proof for a spherical earth that I’ve found throughout roughly 50 hours of study on this issue (Yes, I’ve done this before with other flat earth theory adherents). Stars in the Southern Hemisphere should be completely different viewed by looking south from Australia, Africa, and South America, in the flat earth model. The reason for this should be apparent to you, if you look at a map of flat earth, and observe that the directions an individual would be looking if they looked south from each of the three mentioned places, would be three completely different directions. What this means, is that there is no possible way for the same stars, constellations, planets, etc. to be viewable by looking south from those places, and yet, it is a known fact that you can observe the same stars, etc. from those places by looking south, and I’m quite sure that even flat earth adherents will admit to this. I’ll send a short video explaining this as well, as this is the only proof I’ve found that absolutely no flat earth theory believer has ever found an explanation for. The southern stars argument is the best one out there It positively prove spherical earth.
I wish my friend from China would be on here and give somethings that disproof this theory. He has a ton of scripture texts, scientific proofs, and the likes that do not rely on the misperception from a human perspective. I will have to say that if you measure around the equator by the speed you travel, both over land and sea, then travel over land and sea and measure from the tip of south america around the world and the tip of north america around the world, the measurements do not add up for a flat earth but rather for a globe. I also know that many do not put any stock in the Books Of Enoch but I will say that all I have seen so far has been proven true by history and science and God's Holy word. It gives the method for counting days to make years just as both calendars that exist in the world today. It prophesies of a future messiah and reign of David and others like the Maccabees. It also says that the earth is a globe.
