And he made him ride in his second chariot. And they called out before him, “Bow the knee!” Thus he set him over all the land of Egypt.
Genesis 41:43 ESV

Per Bob Brier in The History of Ancient Egypt (The Great Courses), the word abrik translated as "bow the knee" in most Bibles might be an Egyptian blessing "Heart to you", which is analogous to the Hebrew shalom when used as a greeting.

Just another of many evidences that the Torah was written by Moses.

If what John was bringing was something new, like is commonly believed in church, how do you think the people at the time would have responded?
If some rando today said we had to do some new ritual to show our relationship with God and it wasn’t in the Bible, would you accept it, challenge it, or reject it?
John wasn’t bringing something new. The baptism process is explained in the Law of Moses.

I never thought about the baptism being in the law and have never looked into it. Do you have some scripture on this as it would be really interesting to look into?

I do like the comment on your page that says: "If it's new it's not true, and if it's true it's not new". ?

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Since God has shown you all this, there is none so discerning and wise as you are."
#genesis 41:39 #mikeitz

Wisdom requires knowledge and experience, but most of all, it requires a good relationship and communication channel with God. There is more wisdom in the Voice of God than in all the sages, books, and experiences in all the world.

WORD FOR TODAY “who are you wrestling with”: Gen 32:25 and Ya`akov was left alone. Then some man wrestled with him until daybreak.

SPOKEN VERSE FOR TODAY: Pro 29:14 If a king steadfastly gives justice to the poor, his throne will be secure forever.

“Faith comes by hearing” positive frequencies spoken out loud hourly.

Thought for Today: Monday December 23:

Praise is the product of a singing heart. It is the inner person who is delighted in the love and grace of Elohiym.

"If thy foot cause thee to offend, cut it off: it is better for thee to go halt into life, than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched,
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is never quenched."

Mk 9
