Why would it be a crime against God's law to ban pornography?
Simple.
As 'pornography' is currently defined and interpreted, a woman would still be allowed to be paid to strip and pose in front of a crowd of men if she is a 'model' and they are 'artists'.
But a wife who takes a picture of herself for her husband solely for erotic reasons would be penalised. This is absolutely unacceptable.
There are different Hebrew words used for sacrificial offerings. E.g. Korban (draw near), hints at its ability to enable our approach to God. Olah "elevation" is a burnt offering. The smoke rises to heaven and draws our spirits with it.

God's first act on moving into the Mishkan (aka Tabernacle) was to explain the five sacrifices (Leviticus 1-6).
They are important. Even if we don't or can't do them, we can't ignore them.
The first three offerings of the five are voluntary. The last two are mandatory. None of them were ever capable of granting eternal salvation. That wasn't why God instituted them.
There are a few kinds of sacrifices that aren't usually counted with the main five in Leviticus 1-6, but they are each related to one of the main five:
1) Red Heifer (burnt offering)
2) Firstfruits (grain offering)
3) Passover (peace offering)
