We at Sabbath Keepers Fellowship were privileged to participate in and witness the immersion of yet another of our dear brothers on 8/31/2024 here in east Texas. We consider ourselves most blessed to have been a part of this life-changing event.
Blessed art Thou, YHWH our Mighty One, King of the universe, who sets us apart in His commandments, and commands us to immerse the sojouner to Thee, in the name of Yehoshua Hamashiach Thy son!
Our Elohym, and Elohym of our fathers, preserve this son of yours to Thy Kingdom, and let his name be known as Andrew among your people Yisrael!
Blessed art Thou, YHWH our Mighty One, King of the Universe, who has kept us in life and preserved us, and has enabled us to reach this season!
All praise and esteem to YHWH, our loving Father in heaven, who has brought this new soul into His Kingdom. Blessed be He, and blessed be the name of our Messiah Yehoshua whose sacrifice for our sake made it possible!

There are obvious differences, but there are also many points of connection, as Bob O’Dell has learned over the years. Bob joins us to talk about his book, Five Years With Orthodox Jews: How Connecting With God’s People Unlocks Understanding of God’s Word. Bob relates how this book came to be through his partnership with Gidon Ariel at Root Source. Those who understand the Hebrew Roots of our faith and the central role of the Jewish people in God’s plans will appreciate this conversation. Those who are not yet familiar with these topics may be surprised at how much we have in common and can learn from one another!

Israel's enemies within the Promised Land had only two choices: run or die. Israel was not to take captives from them or spare anyone. God owns all things, including nations. He gets to decide who lives and dies. The Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, etc., had adopted such abhorrent religious practices that God said even the infants and animals must die.
Deuteronomy 20:18
However, even in combat, one must be always cognizant of God's Law and one's own behavior. Just war executed according to God's commandments is never "anything goes". Victory is predicated on obedience.
