The world had 120 years of warning before the Flood. God is slow to judgment, ready to forgive. If they had wanted to believe in him, they could have and would have been saved. He wants everyone to repent and be rescued from destruction, but eventually the door has to be closed and people need to be left to the destruction they deserve.

Faith is personal and how we decide to choose the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is also personal and different for everyone.
