Why were no iron tools allowed on the altar stones? Stones often represent people, and iron represents power and punishment. Perhaps this is God's way of saying, You can't make yourself into an acceptable sacrifice through your own power.
The stones for the Temple were cut in the wilderness and transported to Jerusalem, just like the Hebrews in the wilderness. Just like us.
The character of the two structures was very different, yet God dwelled in both. Very interesting…

I know that it can be hard to find fellowship, and this is a very big deal for people who take the commandments seriously.
You've probably heard of 119 Ministries' Fellowship Finder and maybe Psalm 119 Foundation's Fellowship Finder, but did you know that Common Sense Bible Study has a native tool for finding like-minded believers near you? If you're a member and have provided your home city, Common Sense Bible Study will show you which other members are geographically near you.
This won't give you their exact location, so it's not a security risk. It only lets you know that they're not far away. If you are starving for real-world fellowship in your area, this is a great tool to help you solve that problem!
Not all members of CSBS are Torah-keepers, but they are all serious Bible students who want to connect with other believers.
We have a premium membership available for those who want to engage in courses to go deeper in their Bible study, but basic membership is free!
You can sign up at https://CommonSenseBibleStudy.com
I clothed you also with embroidered cloth and shod you with fine leather. I wrapped you in fine linen and covered you with silk.
Ezekiel 16:10 ESV
Compare this to the description of the Tabernacle in Exodus. It is a 3-dimensional representation of a higher, spiritual reality. God communicates spiritual truths to us through visual and tangible metaphors because we are both physical and spiritual beings.
The Sabbath is a sensitive subject that has divided Christians and Jews for centuries, but it doesn’t have to be that way. That’s what David Nekrutman demonstrates in his book, Your Sabbath Invitation: Partnership in God’s Ultimate Celebration.
As an Orthodox Jew who has worked to improve Jewish-Christian relations for many years, Nekrutman has a passion for sharing Hebraic biblical insights with Christians in the interest of deepening their understanding of the scriptures. His outreach coincides with the Torah Awakening among Christians that has inspired a movement toward observance of the seventh day Sabbath (Shabbat in Hebrew), and other biblical celebrations like Passover. These holy times do have meaning for Christians, especially since Jesus (Yeshua) and his followers observed them. That is why Christians of all denominations will find Your Sabbath Invitation a valuable resource in their journey toward deeper understanding of God’s Word and His ways. . . .

Fifty loops and fifty gold clasps attached each of the Tabernacle's outer curtains to each other and the whole was finished with fifty bronze clasps.
Fifty represents the critical mass of righteous men and of years required to establish a lasting community and to enact lasting change in the world. It is the number of liberation and restoration.
Fifty is also the number of the basic military and prophetic companies in Scripture, the number of years in the Jubilee, and the number of days between Passover and Shavuot.

Job 38:2—3, “Who is this who obscures My counsel by words without knowledge? Now brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me.” As faithful as Job is in his despair he apparently gets some things out of order. Our Creator chastises Job and tells basically tells him to “suck it up buttercup” I’m going to teach you some things and then test you on them.

Children, you must understand that obedience to your parents and to Elohiym, is the most reliable proof of a pure and genuine Love for our Creator. (Prayer: Father, take my children’s lives and cast them into objects worthy of a place in Your Kingdom, amein)
