Making Torah (aka the Law) the object of our lives leads inevitably to failure. We ought never to keep God's Law for the sake of the Law itself nor for the sake of the veneer of righteousness that it provides, but for the sake of the Lawgiver who gave us His Torah out of love for us and a desire to see us succeed as children of God and citizens of His Kingdom.

Torah is a blessing and a guide to those who keep it out of love for our Creator and Redeemer. It is a curse and an obstacle to those who attempt to keep it pridefully.

The pagan gentiles were blind men stumbling about in their pagan temples, not even realizing that there was a way to be reconciled with God until the Apostles came with the Gospel. Gentiles, when presented with the fact of their sins and inevitable condemnation, immediately took hold of the Savior that was offered alongside the Law.

The Jews had the Torah for many centuries by the time Yeshua came to inaugurate the New Covenant that had been promised through Jeremiah at the midpoint between himself and Moses. Their familiarity with the Law and their pride at having been chosen above other nations led them to believe the Law was sufficient for all their spiritual needs. The gentiles had no such barrier to overcome, being presented with their guilt and salvation at the same time.
Romans 9:30-31

Sometimes, this platform feels sterile. Maybe it's something I've done & offended everyone, but my attempts at being happy & friendly are ignored most of the time. Have I done something worthy of exile? Is everyone else only on here to promote themselves as teachers? I know we're a relatively small group, and people have lives, but I see so much attention being focussed on going to other sites, when we can fellowship right here. Rhy has literally put his life on the line to give this oppotunity to us...why aren't more of us engaging each other? Maybe it's my fault. I live a fairly secluded life. My daughter is the main person in my life, and she's gone at work a lot now. Izve been turning to TTN for socialization because we have no Torah community here, just Hinjews. I should be used to it by now, but I'm not. I want to be around other positive, YHWH fearing people, to hold me accountable in my walk. Please, if you see someone post a greeting, the least you can do is give it a thumbs up. You may be the only person that individual has contact with that day. Are you going to be like the rabbi and cross to the other side of the road so you aren't inconvenienced, or are you going to be the samaritan who heals and nutures a stranger? Shalom, and have a wonderful day!

Shalom GigetsMom. So…I have so many questions. Apparently I haven’t been here for over 3years (so I’ve been told) so I really have no clue what’s happening on TTN. I didn’t even know this was social networking platform.
Q’s
1: what is a hinjew? I have no clue.
2. It sounds like your texts are being ignored. Why do you think that is?
3. It also sounds like you feel like people are promoting themselves or perhaps certain things. Same question…why do you think that’s happening?

I’ll wait for your response for any further questions. In the meantime, May YHVH fill your heart and mind with His Ruach.

Shalom

Hi GM, I appreciate your engagement on here. This place seems to be a hub for Torah teachings so that kind of comes with the territory. It's certainly not your fault for the socialization to not occur. I don't see that on most platforms these days. It seems to have died out. I do spend most of my time on Twitter where I do have a small crew and post some silliness once in a while. I don't mean to link folks away from this platform, but I find that one the easiest to mix ministry and current events. https://x.com/Messianic73 if you're on there. Let me know if you are and I'll recommend some active friends.

Shalom GigetsMom. I'm not on TTN every day, but I have noticed your comments and posts. I'm still learning the TTN site so I haven't been very active, but I appreciate your presence here and hope to be more active as time goes on. Stay positive and have a beautiful day, sister. ?

John 5 was the focus of my studies once I started sifting through doctrines. I was specifically focused on versus 22-29 and the word “judgment”. I had been taught two diametrically opposed doctrines for what would happen to those who had never heard of Yeshua, whom I referred to as Jesus at the time. On one hand, a Sabbath keeping church decreed, with complete confidence, that they would all be resurrected and then incinerated. On the other hand, the Sabbath and Holy Day keeping groups were teaching that those who had never heard of Jesus would be granted another lifetime to learn this. These teaching would hinge on the words in the bible for judgment, principally from Revelation 20 and John 5:22-29. What was really going to happen?
Our study yesterday includes this answer and what I discovered in the first detailed study of my walk in our common faith. One of the most shocking outcomes was the degree to which the KJV was manipulated to reflect medieval church doctrine. It was this manipulation which has caused billions of people to misunderstand prophecy, even constructing ridiculous doctrines that are entrenched in Christianity. The study also brings to light many other concepts I’ve learned over the last 20 years. John 5 is a gigantic chiastic structure where the end about knowing Moses is the direct contrast to the beginning and how the lame man had been left lame for 38 years. We also delve into the complete fulfillment of Yeshua being one like Moses and how the entire bible tells the same story.
I hope you find time to watch this study. It will bless you with many offramps of things to study for yourselves and also bring peace, knowing that the Plan of Salvation has always included all of mankind.
