Palestine wants change they aren’t willing to make. The same change the state of Israel needs to make. Ending our traditions and returning to Yahuah’s Torah by the blood sacrifice of Yahshua the Messiah! There is no other Way to Salvation. Not Islam, not Judaism, and not Christianity! The simplest way to answer this is to say the Spring Equinox marks the beginning of the year.
There are many reasons why this makes the most sense and there is plenty of evidence to back this up as well, in my opinion.

Matthew mentions both donkeys in part because it is another picture of the reunification of Israel and Judah. The coats represent the Disciples' authority over the two houses, but beneath the King.

Sin has dominion over those who are under law. Being “under law” is the same as being under the dominion of sin. If you are an unrepentant sinner, then you are under law. If you have repented of sin and been forgiven, then you are set free from the dominion of sin and are no longer under law. This doesn’t mean that the Law is no longer a guide to righteous behavior as v15 states plainly, but that it no longer has authority to condemn you.

A thought just crossed my mind, if we (not living in Israel) can't determine Abib 1 as we are for all practical reasons on a long journey and can't view the Abib barley, shouldn't we then be keeping the second Passover?
Num 9:10 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If anyone of you or your posterity is unclean because of a corpse, or is far away on a journey, he may still keep the Lord’s Passover. 11 On the fourteenth day of the second month, at twilight, they may keep it. They shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
This should then address the need to look at other signs as the date will be confirmed...
