Obedience to #torah can prevent many evils, but once you find yourself in a pit, obedience alone cannot lift you out. Confession, repentance, and--most of all--faith in God's anointed redeemer, Yeshua, will restore us to fellowship with the Father.
Hiya Everyone!
Although I have been here since the beginning of TTN I have never interacted with the community out of self-consciousness and fear of meeting new people. However I see the benefits in what this platform can become, serving as a space for believers from all walks of life to connect and grow together, and so I choose now to step out of my shell in hopes of seeing this community grow.
I trust that this post will serve as a form of encouragement for anyone who feels the same way to begin sharing their feelings and ideas.
I invite anyone who would like to chat to send me a message. Although I would like to log on everyday after work I can't guarentee my eyes will always allow me to ?.
Shalom and Blessings to you all!
There's a chiasm centered on faith in the healing of the woman and the girl in Mark 5:22-42:
>About to die
>>>Woman healed
>>>>>>Faith
>>>Girl will be healed
>Resurrection
The girl and the woman represent two aspects of Israel:
1) The sick, but aware
2) The lost and unaware
In the end, Yeshua restores them both, one for her own faith and the other for the faith of her father. Neither one was healed by obedience to commandments or pious living.

In Romans 9, Paul says a very curious thing: The Jews are descended from Abraham, but they aren't all children of Abraham. On the other hand, many people from the nations are not descended from Abraham, but they *are* children of Abraham and of God. How can this be so? There are two kinds of "father" in Scripture: genetic fathers and spiritual fathers.
