And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written,
Luke 4:17

On the surface, Isaiah 42 and 61 are literally about releasing prisoners and healing the blind, but are also about releasing spiritual prisoners and healing the spiritually blind. See Luke 4:16-30. "Physician, heal yourself" v23 should be understood to mean "Why are you out healing people all over the land instead of right here in your hometown?" But where there is no fear of God, there can be no healing. Until we learn to fear God, we will never see the full power of God.

I'll debate a brother on one post, then laugh with him on the next. That's the way it should be. We must be disciplined and not prone to isolation. Speaking to myself as much as anyone here. ❤️

Amein.

It doesn't make us enemies if we differ.

We are just on different learning stages and we might just pick something up during our debates that in later years take us on a different course of belief.

Standing up to read in the synagogue like #yeshua did in Luke 4:16-17 wasn't something anybody could do whenever they felt like it. There is generally a strict order to these things. That the synagogue rulers cooperated with him, shows that he had some recognition as a teacher or dignitary of some kind.

In v18, he quoted from Isaiah 61:7, 42:7, and 49:8. He probably read more than what is reported, but these were the relevant excerpts. His commentary is really what blew the listeners away.

I suspect he said more than is recorded in v21. As with the preceding reading from Isaiah, his commentary is likely also summarized by Luke.

I was always told that there was some unwritten rule where a minimum of 3 verses must be read (or something similar). So Yeshua instantly had everyone's attention because he didn't read enough verses and he also stopped in the middle of a verse. Which was apparently highly irregular. At least that is what I was taught.

It was Yeshua's custom to go to the synagogue every #sabbath, the seventh day of the week, which we commonly call Saturday. Part of the command to keep Sabbath is to keep it as a holy convocation, not simply a day of rest. (See #leviticus 23:3.) In attending synagogue every Sabbath, he was keeping the commandment, and on the same day as all other Jews. You don't have to go to synagogue or to church, but you do need to gather with fellow believers in some fashion.

My own brother just called me a 'false prophet' for sending him a video of 'The Watchers' and this episode was about an arsonist who burned a child all over his body and left him barely alive in a park for some views. Someone broke into his house and stole his hard drive from his computer and the documents they found...wow, Corbin was saved by the police thanks to a group called, 'Anonymous'. Anonymous stand with the legal way, unless you fight against the west elsewhere. Thewa Chers is a black hat hacker who hunts violent criminals who the system lets slip between the cracks. The darkness is deeper in the crack then it is looking into the crack. Under Yahuah's Torah, there is no crack to escape into. Murderers and the like had no place to run to. Thankfully the US constitution could justify this under the 2A. Using lethal force to execute judgement on an attacker who isn't stopping, even if the attack is happening to someone else. It doesn't matter if the majority of corrupt judges don't side with you, they already don't side with you so long as you cry for Yahuah and His Ways. Note to self, if you're gonna prey on children, make sure your house runs off old school technology, because this AI stuff is scary when you lose all control.

I would like to clarify something. Yahuah uses evil to enact justice in the wicked. We are not to go out of our way to seek to do evil, but we can defend the vulnerable and children from evil being done to them. If someone proved to me that a murder was about to go down and I could stop it and I knew/know that the system wasn’t going to be any help, I’d probably do what I had to to save them. That being said, my sin proceeds me, if the one getting killed was really evil, I’d probably turn my back to hopefully allow Yahuah’s Torah to take place. I’ve learned that certain things some people just can’t stop doing, which Torah would have burned them at the stake, on the first incident, means I’d be gone too, though I learned my lessons, but I’m human and mercy isn’t something I’m accustomed to. But the point is I am biased and would allow sin if I thought it meant that greater sin was being diminished, though I know that if we allow our lusts to overtake us and we do not seek to prove guilt like a court then we are no better then the one we claim is guilty and worthy of death. To much slack is the reason for this chaos. I am not to join this war unless I’m using my voice. I’m not pro Palestine and I’m not pro Babel Israel, it’s a dangerous game to curse Yahuah’s people which both areas contain them. Do not war against Yahuah’s people or face destruction. The 12 tribes are 12 ethnicities now and their slave trades are viciously visible. We are truly in the end times and I am not going to continue right now, because I’ve got a ton of thoughts looking both ways and yeah, leading to hard points I’d rather not consider at this moment. Shalom, fellow humans! HalleluYah!

On this date in history, 12/12/1985: Arrow Air Flight 1285, carrying U.S. Army personnel home from Egypt, crashes shortly after takeoff from Gander, Newfoundland, Canada, killing all 248 passengers and 8 crew members. The cause is disputed by Canadian Aviation Safety Board investigators. Some believe it was caused by ice on the wings, others that it was caused by an explosion. #otd #tdih

I might have to share this with my friend Marty the next time I go to Search and Rescue training with him (he is a veteran from the Marine Corps). He always loves taking to account the date in history, and he told me one time when we were going to training that the day we did it on was the same exact day the Marine Corps was created (it was originally a bunch of rednecks in a bar). Interesting stuff

I have written before, the Bible in the original language and context is agyonizily specific. This concept prevents deception when we are able to understand and explain the real meaning of what is written. A very good example is found in the word world. Today the English word is used to describe the earth we live on but in the original Hebrew it describes the people and not the earth. Psalm 9:8, “He judge the world with righteousness; He will administer judgement for the people in uprightness.”
