We had a fantastic conversation last night at CSBS with Dr. Mark Nanos, author of several books on the Apostle Paul and first century Judaism. Check it out here: https://rumble.com/v32md22-pau....l-the-pharisee-with-

Paul, the Pharisee - with Dr. Mark Nanos

Most Christians think of the Apostle Paul as the inventor of a new, non-Jewish religion, traveling around the Roman Empire driving a wedge between Jew and Gentile. But that's not how the Bible portray

Isaiah 29:13, “Therefore the Lord said: "These people draw near to Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. Their worship of Me is but rules taught by men.” Most realize the Bible mentions false prophets and false apostles, is it possible there are also false believers? Absolutely! You will know them by their actions.

Absalom. Would he have been blessed by Father if he became king?

I have been contemplating this story since yesterday and this morning it dawned on me that he didn't follow Torah to the tee. My realization came from him following the advice from his councillor and had the tent erected on the roof and slept with David's concubines that were left behind when David fled. This breaks the law on having relationships with close kin.

On the other hand David and Batsheba’s had an affair, he killed her husband, a child was born from the affair, etc. and David was still blessed.

We don’t know how Absalom followed Torah in the rest of his life, but we do know more about David’s walk.

Is it therefore possible to knowingly break Torah and still be blessed by Father? What are your thoughts?

Personally speaking, I have done many things since coming to Torah that I was terrified the Spirit would leave me and Id be plagued by suicidal desires again. Thie fears did not come true. I believe it is becsuse I truly mourned and repented my actions and did not repeat them usually. I know Paul says there is no further sacrifice if one sins after believing in Yeshua. I have come to.underdstand this as there is no need for further sacrifice after receiving the Spirit. I do believe you can lose the Spirit, but it is not as simple as one willfull sin. It would take a complete rejection and refusal to repent and humble yourself to lose the Spirit. Yah is very merciful and slow to anger. He knows the temptations will live with every moment. He knows what will make us stronger by first humbling us, much like army boot camp. He wants us to reject ourselves and embrace Him. I believe sin is how He gets us there. Not to say we are supposed to sin, but when we do, it creates an opportunity to bond with Him afterward. The only sin Scripture says will not be forgiven is blasphemy of the Spirit. All other sin is forgiveable, as long as we come to Him with broken hearts and spirits. He will then build us up into more perfect beings, ready for battle with powers and principalities.

Don't forget he also dishonored his father with the same actions.

David whenever confronted with his sin, always and consistently was instantly repentant. And therefore his anointing remained. If the kingdom had been stripped from him, Nathan would have said so. But without Yah's blessing, Absalom was doomed to failure since Yah still watched over David's kingdom.

Something to think about today:

A doctor can save your life, a lawyer can defend your life, a family can give you a supported life, a soldier can give you a peaceful life but only our Living Elohiym can give you an eternal life! Amen?

It's super duper important that we not forget the JOY of Yah in our lives.

The Torah community can be grouchy and stuck up at times. Zeal for Torah is good, but we must always remember that one of the primary jobs of Torah is to teach you to LOVE your neighbor.

Totally agree. Even amongst ourselves, I think we are so often on high alert to look for what the other person believes that is different to ours, rather can seeing what we have in common and share that with joy.

Thought for Today: Thursday July 27:

The fulness of our heart is expressed in our eyes, in our touch, in what we write, in what we say, in the way we walk, the way we receive and even in the way we need.

ADDICTIONS
A healing Prayer to use in Overcoming Physical Addictions

References:

Healing Promise:
[Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Moshiach has made us free and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage] (Galatians 5:1)

Healing Prayer:
Dear Adonai and heavenly Father, I have struggled with my addiction(s) to ……………………, for far too long. I need Your help. Turn unto me and have mercy upon me, for I am desolate and afflicted. I truly desire to commit all my works to You Abba Elohiym, so my thoughts will be established in such a way that, with Your help and through Your grace, I will be able to conquer healing from this addiction completely. I know You will help me my Adonai and my YHVH. Thank You for loving me. Therefore, I will not be confused or confounded in any way. I will set my face like a flint and in doing so; I know I shall not be ashamed any longer. Thank You for giving a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind. I claim this promise now as I pray and I thank You for delivering me from my addiction. Thank You for Your faithfulness to me Father. I express my faith to You that You are holding my hand, establishing me now, helping me and keeping me from all evil, including my addiction(s). Thank You Almighty Most High YHVH. With Your help from this day forth, I will stand fast in the liberty You have imparted to me so that I will never again be entangled with that yoke of bondage that has held me back for so long. Thank You for setting me free, for whom the Son makes free is free indeed. Impart the mind of Moshiach to me, dear Adonai, so that I will think as He does and live as He wants me to live. With His help, I will bring all my thoughts into captivity to the obedience of Moshiach. In the Name of Yeshua, I therefore resist the evil one and I command satan to depart from me. The curse of addiction in my life will not stand. I will rebuke the devil and his cohorts every time they try to tempt me. Fill me afresh continuously every day with Your Ruach Kodesh Father, so that I will be able always to walk in the Spirit and thereby not fulfil the lusts of my flesh. How I thank You that the indwelling Ruach Kodesh will guide me at all times. In Yeshua’ Name I pray, amen.
