Thought for Today: Wednesday November 02:
When Yeshua Moshiach is the Source of our Joy, no words can describe it. It is a Joy [inexpressible and glorious] – 1 Peter 1:8. Moshiach is the answer to the sadness and discouragement, the discord and division in our world. He can take discouragement and despondence out of our lives and replace them with optimism and hope… When our confidence is in Him, discouragement gets crowded out. May that be true in your life today.
15“I am יהוה, your Set-apart One, Creator of Yisra’ĕl, your Sovereign.”
16Thus said יהוה, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters,
17who brings forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power (they lie down together, they do not rise, they have been extinguished, they have been quenched like a wick):
18“Do not remember the former events, nor consider the events of old.
19“See, I am doing what is new, let it now spring forth. Do you not know it? I am even making a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43
I listed a car for sale on Autotrader. I've used that site for buying and selling in the past and it's great. But this time, my experience has been bizarre because of crime. (Nothing Autotrader could do to stop this, not their fault at all.)
I'm staring at two completely fraudulent checks made out to me for the wrong amount. In the process of selling my car, I've been deluged with fraudulent offers by people impersonating no less than three senior citizens, a Canadian politician, two businesses, spanning at least 5 states, Canada, and somewhere overseas. This is no less than organized crime. I've spent the last two days trying to contact all the poor people these soul-less fiends are impersonating or defrauding. I can't even keep track of all the cons going on here. The world has gone bezerk.
In the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him came and defeated the Rephaim in Ashteroth-karnaim, the Zuzim in Ham, the Emim in Shaveh-kiriathaim...
Genesis 14:5
The Rephaim, Zuzim, and Emim were giants. Chedorlaomer and his army must have been very capable. In fact, a Jewish tradition says that he was actually Nimrod under another name.
Q64: What was written upon the wall of a king's palace?
